Was up the unit this morning, wayyyyy to hot! I'll soon be moaning it's too cold 🙄as it's bloody freezing in the in the winter!

Pleased to say motorhome passed the MOT.  Collecting it first thing tomorrow as they didn't phone until 4.45 and apparently the dual carriageway was horrendous but think that's probably as there had been a bad accident on the motorhway at the bottom on the hill so the traffic was probably backed up and there's no other way to get to the garage.  Of course that means we won't get away until nearly lunchtime tomorrow but at least we can get away!

Morning all, what a miserable day after the beautiful weather we've had this week.  We've decided we're going to leave going away until after lunch when it looks as though the thunder storms should be over both here and Canterbury, which is where we're headed.

I weighed myself this morning and pleased to say I've lost 1.2lb this week so now only 1.4lb over top end of target.  If I can lose 0.5lb a week going forward I should be around my target weight when we go on holiday!  Having said that I doubt there will be much in the way of a loss this coming week with going away this weekend as we usually have a few more drinks plus eating out.  Evening meals will be OK as I'll be cooking those in the motorhome.  Will try not to go too mad but can get a bit fed up with steak and salad, jacket potato and beans etc etc!

Today's plan:

B - cheese omelette
L - gammon & pickle sandwich
D - minced beef hotpot, veg

HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 2; Prosecco or G&T (not sure which we'll have tonight will decide at the time!)

Hi everyone, long time no speak, I have had an awful couple of weeks - dear friend OH of bestie taken to hospital with a large GI bleed, stabilised and discharged a few days later to be admitted when he has gained some strength.
Local friend told OH that he has (rather out of the blue) been diagnosed with cancer which needs major surgery.
I  have been increasing pain with after my fall, seen 2 medics who, like me) felt it is muscles,  but X-ray tomorrow morning, really struggling with the pain needing OH to get me upright and on/off the loo.  Thank goodness for Olympic games to distract me - poor OH is getting very weary, he does a lot anyway, 

WI has had take a back seat, need to eat at all sorts of extra times to buffer the NSAIDs.

Apologies for unloading here, but good to get some of it written down

Well done Denise, rnjoy your break, we had a few spots and that was it but my friend is messaging at the moment she is tracking the storm, it's 14/6 miles away at the moment but heading directly here! Hope it clears the air!

DH has been accepted for redundancy, he has to tell them by the 9th if he accepts, but first off they need to get there act together as the email says he's been there 10 yrs!.......wrong 17 yrs and the settlement figure is half of what it should be, he has the draft they gave him (of course) so will be speaking to them tomorrow! 

I went to the unit at just before 7 this morning after i'd dropped DH off and left there at 11 as was too hot but got loads done 😁

Sending you a big hug @maddiemay. You're certainly going through the mill at the moment so undesirable that SW has to take a back seat. You've got more than enough on your plate both literally and metaphorically. Hope you pick up soon. 🤗

That's a good start for your DH @bubbs. Hopefully they'll get their figures right and it'll be a settlement he can accept. 🤞

I missed your loss earlier @joedenise. Well done! 👏👏👍 Now you'll be able to track your way back to target with your new scales.

We left here to meet up with friends about 12 miles away and hit the storm. The rain was hopping off the ground and driving through huge puddles like fords. When we got home there was nothing so obviously very localised. 

SW went mostly out of the window as I chose a prawn cocktail followed by a lovely leek, Stilton and mushroom pie. Probably hundreds of syns in the pastry and cheesy sauce but I enjoyed it. 😋

Back on plan tomorrow. 😁
