Afternoon all, been a busy morning and been sitting in the garden this afternoon enjoying a couple of 0% G&Ts in the sunshine.
Did quite a bit of shopping this morning and just after lunch needed to take the motorhome in for MOT so I had to follow in the car to bring DH back. Will need to do the same tomorrow in reverse to go and collect it. DH has now suggested going away for a couple of days so looks like WI for me is going to be Thursday rather than Friday!
Glad the Smints are negligible syns - don't think anyone would want to eat 25 in a day! I certainly wouldn't. Might get some to try instead of my usual Polos in the car! I don't bother synning those either as only ever have one on a journey!
Todays plan has turned into an accidental Moroccan theme! Had planned jerk chicken for tonight but didn't have any jerk seasoning made and couldn't be bothered to make any yesterday so decided on a tagine instead!
B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickled onions
L - chicken moroccan spiced kebabs, new potatoes, salad
D - chicken tagine, minty couscous
HEA1 - milk
HEA2 - cheese
HEB - bread
Syns - 30g flaked almonds 3; 12.5g soft apricots 3; 1/2 Tbs honey 1.5; 25ml gin 3; 50ml 0% gin 0.5
The honey came from DD1s bees and it is really nice - much nicer flavour than anything I've ever bought at the shop. May have a Skinny whip later.0 -
Hey up all!!
Jelly glad you had a nice break 😁
Bloody hot here!
I went and looked to see if there was any boxes this morning, there were but similar to yesterday so didn't get one, no point if it will go to waste!
Food today

Yesterday was a goodish day
was waiting for a call back from the GP surgery, anytime after 2 ,it didn’t come until 6.15 !
Ended up with one of the remaining SW meals from the freezer ( I bought some pre op ) Paella certainly won’t bother again ,6 v small pieces of chicken and v bland ,luckily I had some I cooked chicken in the fridge so added a thigh and a big salad
then had meringue ,strawberries and a little ice cream
so maybe 10 syns
Today will be hard ,it’s my wine tasting club day !Not really that much wine ( tasting ! ) probably 300 ml max ,but the nibbles and at the lunch afterwards I will have to be v careful and aware of my alcohol affected willpower.
Having scrambled eggs ,tomatoes and marmite toast in a little while ,to line the stomach and hopefully fill me up .
Will report back later0 -
Morning all, the temperature is a bit more comfortable today although still quite warm. Not planning on doing much today other than going to pick up the motorhome later once the MOT has been done. Hopefully it won't need too much doing to it to get it through as not been used much this year.
Love the sound of the wine tasting club @Suffolksue! How many wines do you get to taste usually? I know when I've done wine tasting at shows they normally only give you about 10-15ml so you can hardly taste it! Good idea to get a good breakfast inside you before going.
Today's plan has changed from what was originally planned as there was enough left over from the tagine last night to have for lunch today with just making some more couscous to go with it. So here goes:
B - overnight oats
L - LO chicken tagine, couscous
D - minced beef hotpot, new potatoes, veg
HEA - milk
HEB - oats
Syns - butter 2; couple of G&Ts 6; may have a couple of Biscoff biscuits with a cuppa mid afternoon 4?
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning all,
@Suffolksue enjoy the wine tasting - and lunch 🙂
@Bubbs hope your OH gets the news he wants about redundancy this week
Apologies I've missed quite a bit and still to read back.
I’m feeling really fat this morning. Think it’s last week catching up with me and I can’t blame the heat as it’s only warmish here 🤣 Though I did get all the washing done and dried yesterday. It’s the small pleasures eh 🥳
Out for a curry tonight and will have my usual - chicken tikka, salad and boiled rice with a couple spoonfuls of sauce. That’s me having what I like from this particular restaurant rather than being good haha.0 -
@Jellybaby - if you're eating out you have to enjoy what you're eating otherwise it's not worth going out! It's easy enough to pull back the syns over the week!

Made a mistake in my menu plan! Was looking at tomorrow's food when I did the Dinner - the hotpot is tomorrow night's dinner. Tonight is salmon, chips and veg for me and fish fingers, chips and veg for DH.0

You can always guarantee that extra syns will catch up sooner or later @Jellybaby. What's unfair is that they always seem to catch up faster than days of staying on plan. 🤔
It's hot and sunny here @joedenise. Rain was forecast but now seems to have disappeared until much later tonight. 🤞🏼 the MH passes with no expensive work needed.
I've had a SW breakfast (porridge and fruit) and lunch was LOs from Sunday as we were out yesterday lunchtime.
We're meeting friends for a drink at a new pub venue later but not sure what's happening about food. If we come home (or eat before we go) then it'll be a quick freezer meal but if we eat out it's likely to be more syns on top of the wine as it's a sort of tapas type place. I just love the way they advertise 'small plates' but charge as much as normal size plates used to! 🤣0
