Hi preps, just checking in, got the full blown lurgy that's doing the rounds, wouldn't wish it on my worse enemy! Sunday felt like I had a massive hangover eve tho I had not drank a drop, temperature, then along came the phlemy throat and the most annoying coughing and sneezing, also bouts of feeling queezy. I was 9st 9 this morning but possibly from loss of appetite, I had scrambled egg with cheese for tea and the cheese was asking me ferlbicky, I normally love cheese. I'll be back when I'm better, hope you are all well x0

Fabulous bargains as usual @bubbs. I rarely go to Lidl but the boxes sound real VFM. 👍
Hope you feel better soon @Mrbowie. You and your DH seem to be coping @maddiemay despite everything.
I've had a super day. Breakfast and dinner were on plan but lunch was another story. 🤣 I met up with 3 really old friends and food was delicious. Ahough main was good (salmon and prawn salad), I had a sort of ice cream cake and cheese after plus heaps of wine syns
Back on plan tomorrow. 😁1 -
Morning all, a bit brighter this morning and a bit warmer. Bit later posting this morning as DH needed to take the new to us car into the garage (also belongs to the garage we bought it from) at 8.30 this morning so meant an early start. Just a minor problem with the washers and washer bottle leaking so they are going to sort that out so will need to go back there later.
I needed to be in town by 9.30 for my waxing appointment but I still got there early even with popping into Spoons and having a cup of tea first so I was out by 9.30am. We popped into the new Aldi which has opened and it's much better than the old one in town and close to the Morrisons we generally use. DH wanted some more lollies as he's run out. They didn't have any when we popped in the other day - the freezers were virtually empty. Rather than getting the mini version of the Magnum type ones I usually buy (6 syns each!) I've bought myself some mini milks (1.5 syns each so much better!).
I've definitely been eating too much junk lately and have put on a lb this week so further away from top end of target again. Have decided I'm going to try actually writing down all my syns as I often have more than I've planned to in the morning and put on here!
@bubbs - DH's knee is definitely improving. He's now only wearing the compression socks overnight rather than all day and by the weekend probably won't need to wear them at all - he needs to check with the SMART nurses how long he needs to wear them. From the weekend the physio has said he only needs to use one crutch when we go out rather than 2 and he's only using a walking stick indoors apart from first thing in the morning where he still definitely needs to use crutches because his legs are a bit stiff.
@beanielou - I didn't see that programme so no idea where it was. Did it actually say where it was then I can say whether it is near me.
@Mrbowie - do hope you get better soon. Horrible feeling like you've got a hangover when you haven't even had a drink!
Sounds like you had a great time with your old friends @maman. It's worth going over syns to have a good time with friends. I'm sure you're back on plan today.
Right on to today's plan:
B - scrambled eggs on toast
L - chicken fajita bowl
D - meatloaf, new potatoes, veg
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - 50g avocado 5; 2 Tbs soured cream 3; mini milk 1.5
Have a good day everyone.
PS sorry for the very long post today!

It seems to be a morning of short showers here. OH and dog were a bit wet earlier.
OH has gone off to Aldi, PO etc, I forgot to ask him to collect my script, but have enough for a little while. I gave him a loyalty card for coffee shop for a free drink, will be surprised if he uses it as he will rarely go by himself for a coffee, I would like him to have some time for himself with all the things I am asking him to do.
Breakfast was as usual - fruit, yogurt, a little granola and some mixed seeds, lunch to be something on toast and supper I will concoct a mushroom, ham and potato bake, all from fridge/stores. I will have a cuppa and then do some of the slicing etc, steamed veg to go with it.
@joedenise you crammed a lot in this morning. @mamon have a good time with your friends. @Mrbowie get well soon. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0
