Walk 4 done, and the One Who Doesn't Eat chose to come with me which was nice. Much longer stride than me which forces me to be faster. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I need ideas for really quick (to make and eat), high protein, high fibre breakfasts for going back to work. Any thoughts?KK
If you are a fan of protein powder (I'm not keen) you could add that to a homemade smoothie?

Hello can I join please?
I have a plan.
1. buying lunch at work is very expensive and usually comfort food, so I will no longer go to the canteen.
2. stay out of the biscuit tin at work.
3. I will do the school walk instead of taking the car.
4. At least 5 a day fruit and veg.
5. reduce portion size.
6. mini gym is set up at home so must use it.
7. drink more water.
That’s it for now. I started today.

Thanks @redofromstart, I’d forgotten about those. Might have a go this weekend ready for next week.Well done on Walk 4 and I’m glad you had some company 😊
@teapot2, I used to have overnight oats every day when I was working before but I think it might be a bit heavy on the calories relative to other options, possibly? I will try some modelling in nooootracheck to see how it would score.I’ve tried protein powders before but I always find that they give me stomach aches 🤷♀️
Hi @D123456789 😊👋, you may find doing all of those at once is quite hard. Don’t feel bad if it becomes a bit overwhelming. Regroup and decide which new habits to start with and then gradually add more 😊

@KajiKita , I have been resisting chips, but could do ham, egg and air fryer chips tonight as long as I did lost of veg with it. Tempting.
I did have breakfast (rare event!) of flat mushrooms filled with cheese and some ham sprinkles done in the air fryer, and I shall have a slice of pea and ham soup for lunch. Lots of nice fruit to fill up on if I want a snack. Trying to write everything down in my fritter impulse buy 'box clever' food journal.
Walk 3 completed this morning - nice to be out in the fresh air. Nearly on 7k steps despite mostly sitting since I got back.
Well done on the walks!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -
I haven't been feeling well this week, so fell off the wagon of walking/workouts again. I think I prefer the active 10 app for walking but like the workouts on walkfit so I'm going to try and carry on with those.
I've made more of an effort to eat decent food this week so that's a bonus. My GP surgery has asked for an updated weight so I'm going to need to figure out where to get one. Annoyingly I was there on Friday, so could have done it then probably, but they sent the message a couple of hours after I got home. I might bring my scales down to the kitchen and see if they are better on the concrete floor."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
