Weight loss and healthy eating for a debt free life

That's brilliant @redofromstart! Well done.
I tried weighing the other day and got the usual fluctuating weights so no idea. I think I'm roughly the same as I was despite the poor eating habits. I think I'm going to have to join up SW just to get a regular weigh in! There are scales at the library, but they don't open until 9.30am so no good when I'm working. I don't really fancy weighing at lunchtime."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Meh, half a pound on last week. I blame the last of the chocolate covered pistachios. Determined to do better this week and am making a conscious effort to eat a more varied range of food. I also need to move more, having the builders here really does limit my exercise mojo.
Lots of fruit and veg bought this morning, and no more naughty temptations. Doing very well at avoiding the demon drink too although decaf coffee really is not floating my boat this evening. Trouble is I start with good intentions, but one glass of wine leads to another and then all of the things get eaten.
How is everyone else doing?

I've been making the effort to eat a bit better (sometimes!) but I still haven't weighed or anything. I was debating on bringing my scales down to the kitchen to be on a concrete floor and see if that makes them more consistent."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I’m struggling a bit too. The weather isn’t helping as it means I don’t want to get out in the garden (my main exercise) and so I’m sat on the sofa keeping warm too much. To offset this I have signed up to an app (W@lkFit - others are available! 😉) that gets you doing exercises in the house. It’s surprisingly effective at getting your heart rate up, your step count increasing and feeling like you’ve done something. I find having to maintain a streak really helpful - I was only on day 3 yesterday and wanted to skip the workout as I was shattered, but worked the 8 minutes into my cooking process, just so that I didn’t lose my streak! 😊KKAs at 15.08.25:

- OPs to mortgage = £12,048 Interest saved £5,675 to date
Fixed rate 3.85% ends October 2030

On busy days I literally do the 8 minute workout which is part of the 28 days, but on days when I have more time I do a dance workout as well. I was freezing this morning so did the two. With those and a brief walk around the block and some cleaning I’ve got to 12K steps today, which I am really happy with 😊
I also like the fact that so far on all the videos I have tried they have two demonstrators - a lean, toned, skinny one and a plus size one. The plus size one does everything that the lean one does - I find that massively encouraging for some reason 😊

@KajiKita I had seen a few adverts for that type of App but they all seemed to have hefty (auto recurring) charges. Does the one you are using charge? My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I maaaay continue it, but it depends on how many steps I will get in a typical work day - I’m expecting far fewer meetings (PLEASE Universe! there can’t possibly be as many as in the last job, surely …?? 😳) and it is a rabbit warren of a site with lots of stairs, so I suspect I will be moving around quite a bit.It claims that you feel better within a week, start to look better within a month, lose reasonable amount of weight within two months. I have been doing it 5 days and yes, I’m feeling better, in spite of having a cold.I’m not sure if I can invite you for a discount? Let me have a look ….
