Thankfully stayed away from the sweet treats, but the cheese board was my downfall.
I ate a lot of fruit and veg, and drank a reasonable amount of water ( and tea!)
I’m glad i started the healthy eating before Christmas as i would be much worse off now otherwise.

I didn't go to SW for a fortnight because I was struggling with the whole bereavement and Christmas thing. 3.5lbs on last night which is isn't bad considering I spent the weeks in between completely off plan and doing very little exercise. I was also introduced to the phrase 'You can't out walk your fork' which amused me.
Anyway back on plan now, although I am very tempted by a last glass of wine tonight before I try for 'no buy' January.

Happy new year everyone!
I bought some new scales after realising that the feet were gone on mine, hence the varying readings, as they weren't level. Not sure how that happened, but I've finally unpacked the new ones, and have tried them this morning. I managed to get the same reading in several different places, so I'm happy!
It turns out I ended the year exactly the same weight as I started it. Which is ok in itself, but I want to improve on that this year.
I bought a pile of SW cookbooks, so want to go through them for inspiration, and start a new plan for the new year. I'm just going to aim for getting into the next stone which is 10lb away. If I don't get on by myself, I think I'll join up with SW at some point. I don't really fancy it during the new year rush so I'll have another go first.

it was a special occasion today and we went out for dinner and I honestly ate about 4 times more than I’ve eaten for any meal in the past month. It was so delicious but now I can’t move.
Tomorrow is a new day so I have to start again ….1 -

I bought some porridge pots in an attempt to have something easy to grab if need be. I decided to have one today. It was vile! I'll send the other two to the food bank I think, so that people who actually like porridge can have them
I do need to do something about my breakfasts though, hence trying that. @jwil - it might be worth having a look at the SW blog - https://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/blog/?fbclid=IwAR3CqNJK92gwZwZOfRaPPo_O4bOrzeQpxOnXcF9ImunD-zzDTMMdUWdhu0M. There are quite a lot of recipes on there. You can also send for a free 7 day menu plan which may well give you some extra ideas for meals.
One of my favourite breakfasts is scrambled eggs with spinach stirred through it with a couple of slices of wholemeal toast (I used Morrisons own brand as can have 2 slices of 800g loaf as HEB rather than the silly little 400g loaf of most others like H*vis).
Another breakfast we have about once a month or so is kedgeree which is syn free and includes all the elements for a balanced meal - Protein (smoked haddock/eggs), vegetables (Speed foods), carbs (Free foods). We don't usually bother with the hard boiled eggs as DH isn't keen!

Not the heights of 12, 11 that I was at when I left my last job, but not good.Not doing well at curbing junk eating - there’s still too much of it in the house.Mainly focusing on getting decent amounts of steps in (11K today after finding a lunchtime walking route today 😊) and eating more fruit and veg in the daytime if not in the evening! This won’t loose any weight, but I hope will give me a fitness base and a healthier gut to work from as the days get longer and I feel less carb driven because I am so cold all the time.KKAs at 15.08.25:
