I know that the RBS/NatWest/Ulster offer said you could only apply to one but in practice people got all three. I have never had a First Direct account but opened an HSBC Advance account last November, and it is still open for its final bonus.

I'm pretty sure I've seen reports of people receiving the FD switching offer and then getting the HSBC offer a few months later so it seems that like the NatWest group, the HSBC group banks aren't the best at communicating with each other.

A nice thing about this offer is that you have to transfer two direct debits or STANDING ORDERS. And presumably if you are switching from a burner account one standing order can be into your regular account.0

So just to clarify, I had a first direct bank account until about 2016, so I'm not eligible right?0

I have had a first direct account before, but it was at a different address. How likely do you think it would be that they notice if I tried to get this switch offer? I haven't had any previous switch offers with FD so I find it a bit annoying that I'm excluded. I suppose I could open an account just to get the cashback from topcashback and attempt the switch bonus while I'm at it.0
