Have just read this through from the beginning - so glad that Rick is now making a recovery. You should be very very proud of yourself for everything you have done over the years for him and his sister. Just take everything a day at a time and don;t take any notice about comments like those from grey-lady. She obviously doesn;t have family.Best wished to ALL of you.0

Even better day, ricks been moved to a general ward, he's surrounded by old people so is a bit down in the dumps, the man in the next bed died within 10 mins of Ricks arrival, going in tomorrow as my cold is nearly clear thanks to sudafed.

Anyway todays the turning point (rick most important btw)- most of you know i started my own business a couple of weeks ago and it has gone slowly (pnd support and therapy) due to me not being able to afford time to advertise etc. a few months ago i entered a Dragons den type comp with my idea.
ANYWAY i won the award tonight for the business idea and have loads of financial freebies worth loads of K (at least 10 so far), and more importantly business experience to draw from and use. i had employed becca (rick sister) as i said i would aim to train her - now i know for sure that i will have to money to do so.
Anyone fancy a glass of bubbly to celebrate both occasions?
thanks for your vote for the month nominations but mum of twins post i have done - she needs it more than me as i am now able to donate something large to the hospital fundGive blood - its free0 -

good to know rick is improving and on a general ward!! sympathies as a few years ago i had 4 hospital admissions and spent each time on a ward full of 70+ people (not great when you are 34 but even worse if you are ricks age) never mind he has done wonders for the average age on the ward!!
great that your buisness is doing well, good for becca as well.
i hope you get over your cold quickly and are able to vsist rick soon, but fully understand it is best to keep germs away for now.
all the best for ricks continued recovery.Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0 -
I have been wishing Rick well since you started this thread. I am so pleased that he is making such an astonishing recovery, considering how ill he was. That is really great news about your award. I am so pleased for all of you.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
