    Hi Fsdss

I only found this thread today and have read Rick's progress with concern and interest. I am so pleased for you that he is improving after such a frightful time for you all.

Ignore the posts from those such as Grey_lady, maybe the name portrays her life, grey and insignficant. Don't deign to answer her. She should be ashamed of herself.

Also, as someone who is experienced in Health and Social Care, please keep an eye on Rock's bedsores. He doesn't need any further complications. He should have a "turn chart" in place, so check that staff are observing that, and more importantly, that they are using appropriate equipment to manoeuvre him. He should never be manaully moved around the bed, dragged etc. This can lead to shearing, skin tears etc and further damage his vulnerable skin.

Prayers and hugs for all of you at this time.

What fantastic news! :D really, really pleased that Rick is making such progress.
Hope you fell better soon and are able to give him your love and hugs in person again.
  • First time posting on this thread though I have been keeping tracks on it and thinking about Rick a lot.

Why is it that I feel so teary about someone I don't even know? Maybe it's because we're all part of the human family I guess. I'm so chuffed at the good news.

Send my best love to Rick (even though I'm a complete stranger).

And of course all the best to the awesome aunty!

What wonderful new - All the best Rick! say hi !

btw I went to a dream site  http://www.dreammoods.com/

anyway its states that If you see a dead horse in your dream, then it indicates that something in your life that initially offered you strength is now gone. This may refer to a relationship or situation.

I would take a guess that this was you 'binning' the negative post or rather binning the lack of support lol

Just joking with ya - hope it made you smile :rotfl:

Wow, fantastic news. When my dad had been in ICU and on lots of medication, sedated, trachy etc, he had lots of vivid dreams and we were told that can be normal as his drugs were being reduced, particularly the ones that were keeping him sedated.

Hope you are feeling better today. This news has brought tears to my eyes too. Hugs to you, Rick and all your family.

I've been following this thread since the beginning and am so pleased that Rick is making such good progress now. We went through a similar experience with my brother-in-law a few years ago. After so long of things being touch and go the elation you feel when they start to get better is priceless.

Keeping you all in my thoughts!
