Anyone had their monthly fee taken and then re-credited? And still got cashback?
I have and not sure why - could be because I have a Santander 123 account and you only pay the fee once?

    Really not sure!
  • Oh that would be interesting, if they do that I'd be sold on this card
  • Maybe I misread/misunderstood the Ts & Cs when I recently upgraded from our Santander 123 Lite to the Edge account - I was under the impression you could not hold both simultaneously ?
    I know you can't open a 123 since June 2023 - maybe that's where I picked up this flawed idea ?
Happy with the Edge, the cashback from out Direct Debits covers the monthly charge and then some - plus it is fee free to use at Banco Santander branch based ATMs in Spain, as well as for goods and services etc. in bars and restaurants etc.

Mine came through at time of statement. The thing I'm now sure about is the full statement amount is before cashback paid. So I'm not sure whether to pay off the full statement amount or take off the cashback. The former I think just in case.

Yes it can. I did this last month.
You have to do it on the web page though. I couldn't find a way to do it via the app.
