If you don't want to get cut off, and if you are prepared to pay their minimum, set the thing to auto-topup then when the balance gets to £2 it'll get topped up automatically and there'll be no risk of getting cut off.

I can't help noticing that the effective amount of minimum spend per month is gradually increasing but as I pay them £8 per month I'm not worried currently. I don't blame them for not wanting customers who barely use their phones.
