Why did RBS decline your application? 

Are they picky or just that your not in Scotland 

I applied for an RBS account and they’ve allocated me this sort code and I live in England. 

The only remaining branch of RBS in England & Wales is Berwick upon Tweed*. If you're in the west of England or Wales it's quite possible Castle Douglas is your nearest branch as the crow flies.

(*Ignoring Drummonds and Holts, which have separate branding.)

Applied for a sole account switching my Santander account,

You've completed the ID process

That what it says dunno how long till my account is opened hopefully soon

I have to wait 24 hours and speak to the specialist account opening tomorow and the AVU said I then have to go online to do the switch when they have opened the account.  Will update tomorrow with hopefully positive news
