Thanks well my ID upload was successful but said something along the lines of manual check dunno not sure but hopefully account opens soon0

We have a joint account with Nationwide that we were looking at closing (earlier switch incentive received years back), thought I'd try RBS, as nothing to lose. But have been rejected. Not going to appeal as don't want to risk losing both my & my wife's sole switch incentives.
I think 'the group' have realised their error on previous occasions, but good luck to anyone who does get 2 (or even 3) of the 3 available.0 -

If you’ve just successfully opened an account, it can take up to two business days before it’s available in online banking.
Or if you’ve finished an application for an account and you’ve been asked to provide more information, we can’t activate your account until you’ve provided what we’ve asked for.
If you continue to experience this problem, please contact the support centre for further assistance.It did once say I need card reader before I can log in
hopefully I will find out today if I have been accepted0 -
They have finally opened my account and it's now showing in the app. I was a Natwest customer for >15 years but switched the current account in Oct 23 but still kept my credit card open. I've never had a switching bonus from any of Natwest/RBS or Ulster but when I first tried to open the account, they said they needed to do additional checks. It's taken them about 4 days, but it's now open. Thought I would mention this as someone earlier in the thread said you can't open another account if you closed one less than a year ago, but this doesn't appear to be the case.0
