    Have had confirmation of my switch completion date, 26 Feb 24.  Account opened on 16 Feb, but couldn't actually  recall specifying any date on the application form.
  • Have opened sole Natwest & arranged switch from Barclays, as did my wife. (So expecting £400 total) Both accepted and accounts open.

    We have a joint account with Nationwide that we were looking at closing (earlier switch incentive received years back), thought I'd try RBS, as nothing to lose. But have been rejected. Not going to appeal as don't want to risk losing both my & my wife's sole switch incentives. 

    I think 'the group' have realised their error on previous occasions, but good luck to anyone who does get 2 (or even 3) of the 3 available.

    what did they tell you whilst rejecting the application?? did they send you an email ?
  • Just got an email saying after doing their 'checks' unfortunately they are unable to proceed with opening my account. Their loss  ;)
  • Are Natwest / RBS statements and also website the same apart from the branding?

    Your conclusion here may or may not be accurate, many of us on here are going by how they've operated switching bonuses in the past, but we'll only know for sure once they start paying (or not paying) the incentives.

    Yes everything is identical, systems, web pages and apps all operate in the same way.

    Are Ulster & RBS Paper statements A4 size? Or like Old NatWest A5 size? If I switch to one of them can I still get monthly statements?

    Why did RBS decline your application? 

    Are they picky or just that your not in Scotland 
    I applied for an RBS account and they’ve allocated me this sort code and I live in England.

    It's not possible to switch a joint account to the RBS group.

    • If the account held elsewhere is joint please do not instruct the switch in during your initial application. 
    • One of you opens a new individual current account and you've added a party to your account.
    • Once you’ve received your confirmation email  to confirm this is now a joint account, request a switch in using the 'Ready to switch' button below, and choose the option 'I want to switch in an account held elsewhere'.
