Or is there a certain amount of time they need to be open first before doing a switch.
I know they may not accept be back for a while, but I don't mind. Plus I heard you can have sub accounts within Chase, so possible to have two accounts there and just switch out one of them?Chase allow you to set up multiple accounts which can all be switched individually. Make sure you keep at least one without a switch otherwise they'll permanently close your account (no way back). No minimum time it has to stay open, but be aware it may be viewed by some providers dimly (plenty do exactly this with Chase tho).
Ok thank you. So I could set up a Chase account, and then open 2 sub accounts and use those 2 to switch for the offers? And it will keep the main one open?
Exactly that. Takes less than a minute to open a sub account, and you're given the sort code and account number immediately so no waiting to initiate the switches. You can even name and colour code them, to make it even more idiot proof! My 3 accounts are <MY NAME>, Chase 2 NWest and Chase 3 RBS.
I cannot get past the ID stage with Chase, I think its the actual ID not my selfie. Whenever I look at the picture that has been taken it looks fine, perfectly clear, no glare etc.
Obviously you can't see the image but what could be causing this issue? Won't affect this switch but if I can open a Chase account I will.
Try different ID? Or if you took the pic against a white background, try taking the pic against a dark background, or vice versa.

They kept the debit card linked to their first Chase account but when filling in the switch form today they selected that they did have a debit card and put in the debit card number for their first account that they’re not switching.
Any view on best way to resolve this? I’m thinking it will probably mean the switch just fails rather than it affecting his first Chase account too? I think the switch might not start till Tuesday so my thought is for him to call tomorrow and either get them to cancel switch and then he can re apply and select that has no debit card for the account being switched. Or see if they can amend his switch submission to remove the debit card number (as long as this doesn’t invalidate the requirement to switch online / via app).
Cheers

Always have trouble with photo ID.
Thankyou for replying.1 -
With RBS can you chose the switch date if so how far in advance can it be?

I've got a Natwest joint account with my wife and had a switch bonus in 2020, but my wife didn't as "Joint accounts will only be eligible for one payment". I see the terms say "You won’t be eligible to earn £200 if you’ve taken advantage of a cash switcher offer.... since 1 January 2020."So would that mean she would now get her own switch bonus without having to open another NW account, even though I couldn't? She also doesn't have a debit card for the other account, but I see NW don't make that a requirement.

Great news! They have overturned my decline and can apply again to their specialist account opening dept.1

I have been rejected, never being rejected for anything like this before, anyone seeing this? Instead giving anything precise and it's a goodbye from them, what kind of a service is that

Nationwide have been the exception since their switch offer can be had once solely and once jointly, but always check the terms.0

Ulster didn't like me when I tried to open an account last year, but I have an NatWest and RBS account I'm switching into atm. Switches should complete next week, so lets see how it all works out.0
