Any view on best way to resolve this? I’m thinking it will probably mean the switch just fails rather than it affecting his first Chase account too? I think the switch might not start till Tuesday so my thought is for him to call tomorrow and either get them to cancel switch and then he can re apply and select that has no debit card for the account being switched. Or see if they can amend his switch submission to remove the debit card number (as long as this doesn’t invalidate the requirement to switch online / via app).

So people in England are only allowed NatWest accounts or can we have RBS & Ulster! Anyone successful opening an account in England?
'You won’t be eligible to earn £200 if you’ve taken advantage of a cash switcher offer from NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland plc or Ulster Bank since 1 January 2020.' ... I have not taken advantage of any of those cash switcher offers previously.
My only concern is that given I have initiated the Nat West switch now, if I now also switch to RBS it might be that I receive the Nat West payment in the 48 hours prior to the RBS one appearing (so then I would technically have received a cash switcher offer with Nat West since 1 January 2020, possibly invalidating the RBS offer).
As things stand, I have not ever received any of the above offers so can't help but wonder if that makes me eligible?
Opened Natwest today with an old santander account, now thinking of risking opening the RBS with my Coop.1 -

My initial feeling was that it couldn't be possible, however having heard from multiple people who pulled it off last year I think it might be.
Having not received any of the switch incentives from those accounts previously, the way the conditions / restrictions are worded implies it will work.
The fact that every part of me is convinced that it won't is besides the point lol. I am going for two, Nat West and RBS. At least one of them will be successful, if the second one fails then I'm cool with that.0 -

But even if I get one thats £200, Co op should get me £150 so thats not bad.
Fingers crossed any ones I may still be eligible for materialise in the not too distant future.1 -

I couldn't remember my log on details, and the only help NatWest came up with, was to wait for the debit card to arrive in the post before trying again. I meanwhile received a few emails about my new account. I transferred £100 into it, and then tried again to reset my logon info and this time all went swimmingly and I was back online.
My OH, meanwhile, applied for a NatWest a day later than I, and again only got as far as completing the ID stage, and was left 'in the middle of nowhere'. No follow up emails, nothing. OH doesn't remember their old logon details, either, but is waiting to see if any messages come through today from NatWest to confirm if the account is open If so, they'll transfer a small amount into the account and see if they can then get back online, the way I did.0 -

They've also done a hard search. Not sure why , as I've not applied for any credit. Maybe that's just normal.0
