I’m going to try the double and maybe triple if I dare. 

Just waiting for NW to cancel my first incorrect attempt and then I’m off. 

I have 1 metro account (also waiting for the card before proceeding)
And 2 chase accounts added to my usual one.

How long do NatWest normally take to accept you

I've just applied for my husband and he's passed the ID checks. We used to have a joint account back in 2019 that was closed. The application didn't ask for any salary/outgoing questions like normal current account applications, is this what other previous customers have found?

I opened a new NatWest account yesterday, and scribbled the 'potential' sort code and account no. down.  Did the ID process, okay but was left with the message about running a few checks that could take 24 hours.  This morning I have an email from them saying to log in to  see my Mailbox as there is a message about my new account ending in '477'.  (477 matching the 'potential' account from the application).
I last banked with NatWest seven years ago and have no idea of my old log in details. 
I gather from their help, that it will be quicker to wait for the new bank card to arrive to get myself back online, to actually read the message, but for those that have also just opened a new NatWest account and have had the same email, is this just a generic 'Welcome to NatWest' message with no instructions to do anything?  Or does it have info of a switching date as well?

It's just a welcome letter to say your account is ready to use, no switch date.

I've also gone for the triple. If they all go through, it will take me up to £1550 since I started switching last November!

Yep. Switching to Ulster from Co-op which I got the incentive for earlier this week, and into Nat West and RBS from two Chase secondary accounts that I set up on Thursday. He who dares, Rodney!

have you managed to open account with RBS AND natwest ? coz i have managed to open it with natwest but now RBS is not allowing me to open select account .. 

Yes. There were widely reported tech gremlins on Thursday night when I first tried, then opened both on Friday morning without an issue.

natwest account opened without any problem on friday and applied today the RBS select Account then got an email saying they cannot offer me select account and said “ having made those checks we are unable to proceed with opening your account at this stage.”
wonder why is that ? 
shall i try reward account ?

I had this with RBS last year, the email said I could appeal (avureview@natwest.com) which I did. Ended up having to call them to get the account set up, once done I then applied to switch (can't remember if it was online or through the app).  Got my £200 switch incentive from them AND Natwest and Ulster within weeks of each other.

When you appealed did they advise you phone me as a result of the appeal?

in your appeal what did you write ? they asked me to appeal with my DOB , postcode and full name nothing else

Do you get accepted straight away or do sometimes they take a while to accept the account?

Everything seemed to go fine yesterday morning when I opened this with Nat West. But after the ID check, which said was a success, nothing really happened. I have account number, etc. Downloaded the app, but it just says You're account is unavailable to view. 
I didn't receive any kind of Welcome to Nat West message. 
Will see if anything changes tomorrow.

As it’s a Sunday you Most likely will get more emails etc Tomorrow morning! So people in England are only allowed NatWest accounts or can we have RBS & Ulster! Anyone successful opening an account in England?

If you have signed up to the app then there maybe a welcome letter in your correspondence.

You can hold accounts with all three.

Thank you so I could get £600 & open accounts with all 3 don’t think I have enough accounts to do that so one will do for me
