I have just recieved £200 for my RBS switch. Can I do one with Nat West now?  Can I use my new RBS account as a donor?  Alternatively I read that I could open an additional Chase account and switch that?

A bit confused as to what is allowed and what is not?
  • Has anyone tried with the NatWest switcher offer who had previously gotten it since 2020? I did get a switch bonus from them last year, so guessing it's not worth trying.
  • I saw somebody on here say that they opened a Metro Bank account solely to switch to one of these but Metro closed their account immediately when the switch was requested. Did anybody else on here do the same successfully? I opened a Metro account a couple of weeks ago and was thinking of switching to Ulster.

I switched my Metro to Ulster. I hadn't even done the courtesy of downloading the app, putting money in or activating the card. All went well for me. This was before that comment was posted - I remember seeing it.
  • Has anyone got a switch bonus from one of RBS/ULSTER/natwest when they had the bonus from that bank previously? I’ve done the natwest switch and got the bonus. Doing the Ulster one at mo (switch and money on thurs - hoping for that bonus next week). I got an RBS bonus in late 2022. Is it worth trying for the RBS bonus or not worth it?

From this offer I've gotten a NatWest incentive (last switch was 2019) but didn't get a RBS one (last switch was 2021). Also going for Ulster which should complete next week (no past incentive).

It seems they are good at checking within each bank, but not for cross-checking between them.

I opened additional chase accounts for RBS, NatWest and Ulster. Received £600 over 10 days .

Well I finally managed to get into my online banking for Ulster but seemingly you can't just get in first time via the app, until you've logged in to Intenet Banking via a computer!

Now they're automatically sending out a card reader too, which I'll probably never use...must be driving the postie crackers with their non stop stuff in the post! (most of which is information already provided via email / text so simply goes from the postbox into the shredder!)

This has been tried by a few on here and none got the bonus again.

I made two burners quickly to do the RBS and Ulster offers, no issues at all using Monzo and Metro respectively.
I always wait until I have the card and pin and any online banking details before doing the switch.

Just wondering, i am just waiting for my savings payout from the Coop switch and the switch offer for TSB (both of which should be paid by 29th in theory, given that its a bank holiday have a feeling may be later than that.

I want to give the Natwest one ago, however in case it is pulled by time the other two pay out, is it worth giving it a go starting the application process now? can you submit the application for the switch after the fact, if not do they let you chose a switch date (as i recall from RBS in the past wasn't given an option to chose before?) and will the bank hols affect the 7day switch timescale (if so moving it 2 more days later than it would be if next friday and following monday were not a bank holiday??)
You can open your RBS account and start your application to switch in at a later date (into an existing account), but to be eligible for the offer you have to start your switch before the offer is withdrawn, though banks normally give some notice if they're withdrawing the offer.

RBS don't offer a range of switch dates, they choose the closest one to the date you request your switch.
thanks, i will start the opening process and then submit switch request after.
