Yet when you check direct you'll find an even better deal:

NW region, if anyone is wondering

(ignore the price per month given here - that figure will obviously change based on your AQ)

    15m v10 is showing now.

Other suppliers are cheaper at the moment with the added bonus of being able to internally switch penalty free and providing billing that is clear and understandable rather than being "an indication of how the bill was calculated" ! On the plus side they have subsidised my bill by £100 for their incompetence - £60 voluntarily and £40 imposed by the EO. 32 days and counting until I can move away from these chancers.

Never associate with idiots on their own level, because, being an intelligent man, you'll try to deal with them on their level - and on their level they'll beat you every time.

Being hated by idiots is the price you pay for not being one of them.

Prices are moving fast at Fuse (and elswhere). Switched last week to Outfox at 21.32p / 64p standing charge, planned to use the 14 day cooling period of if I had misjudged. Outfox now 23.2p

Here are my logs for Fuse

    image.png

ie up 11% in a fortnight.

All prices are for the equivalent 12 or 13 month fixed rates Scotland

Is there anyway to see the old Fuse rates on their app, website or elsewhere?

I don't think you can with Fuse themselves. They tend to like working only in the here and now. They don't seem to keep many records of anything.

Your best option is to use a comparison site and tell the comparison site you are currently with Fuse. You should then get all* the Fuse tariffs that are still live. i.e. what you could be currently on depending on when you theoretically applied.

    • you may need to use a few comparison sites to see all the tariffs because, as I mentioned earlier, Fuse offer lots of exclusive tariffs, and you will only usually find them on the site it was an exclusive to.

    Quick question about Fuse's website.

Our switch has gone through. We are currently away on holiday, so HW switched off at the wall (I've checked Octopus readings, and they show zero usage these past 2 days, so we know we haven't left it on by accident)

Fuse show us as having used 4.6 kwh gas so far today??!!

Is this some sort of estimated daily usage, that we won't actually be billed for?

Fuse estimate your daily use and charge till they get a reading from you or your meter directly. They can’t read my smart meter so it’s corrected at the end of the month when I send a reading. For example My estimated use yesterday was 4.8kwh but I know it was nearer 2kwh.

Our gas meter has connected and given the opening reading, so all ok on that front.

(Electric still showing as "connecting", or something)

So it's just an estimate. That's fine. Thanks.

    Yeah, ignore it

Fuse use meter readings taken on 1st of every month.

If you have a smart meter, they will take it remotely (assuming it is accessible to them) Otherwise, they will expect you to provide them with a meter reading .- they'll send you an email about 10am on the 1st of every month to remind you (even if you've already supplied a meter reading earlier that day, in which case ignore it.). Don't miss giving a meter reading if you can avoid it, because they bill on the 2nd of the month usually.

You can, of course, provide a meter reading at any time but they bill based on a full calendar month.

I've never allowed them to estimate a meter reading, but I expect it would be as unreliable as any other supplier. I suspect the daily estimates give you a good hint as to what to expect they will estimate if they don't get any actual reading. Once they have an actual meter reading, the daily/monthly graph is adjusted accordingly

I guess it wouldn't matter so much if you switched to fixed monthly direct debit (but estimated readings could cause them to reassess your monthly payment), but if you are paying each month in full via a variable DD, then ensuring they have actual meter readings is paramount.

Hint: if you are not home to take a meter reading on the day required, just submit one you are happy with. As you are on a fixed tariff, any under or over reading will be catered for the next month when you do supply a meter reading. But at least you'll know what to expect in your bill before it arrives

(Be careful about doing that if there is government intervention taking place that affects your otherwise fixed price tariff. e.g the removal of VAT on electric from 1st October this year)

Home now, and it appears our IHD has also updated to the new supplier/tariffs

    They're showing as "Paddington" 🤔

    Just googled the connection
