To the OG poster, I have been with Fuse since last year, and have had no issues at all so far.

How long do their tariffs last for? im a few days away from being able to change my tariff with them, and they have a new August fix (Aug Single Rate Fixed (15m/13m) v1, unfortunately its a tiny bit more than the July fix they offered, but still better than competitors. I'm assuming this tariff is offered for the whole month of August?

I’m afraid not. It can change anytime. Last month for example they changed rates a dozen times some didn’t even last for a day. Beware of switching tariffs before 49 days as Fuse charge exit fees. They usually let you know when you can switch.

To anyone who switched to them towards the end of a month...

When did you receive your first bill?

We switched on the 23rd (smart meters have given opening reads), and haven't heard anything regarding our first bill and therefore variable DD due on 7th.

Will we? Or is it more likely to be carried over until September.*

(We've yet to receive a final bill from Octopus either)

*Now I've said that, I bet I get an email as soon as I post 😉

edit.. Bill is now showing in my account with DD scheduled for 7th.

Do they usually email/text to let you know it's ready , or is it up to the customers to check?

They will email you the cost to comply with DD T&Cs. I see you can also have the bill sent by email - you may need to set that up in your online account. Otherwise you need to login and export the bill.

Got my email earlier today. A tad late this month, they usually get the emails out on the 2nd. 1p overcharge. (unless someone could give me a detailed answer to Q1 I posted earlier in this thread) I'm sure I can afford it.

But how is it they seem to issue corrections when they believe they've undercharged you a penny or two, but I've never had a correction for an overcharge yet?

Edit: Actually no overcharge. The overcharge I thought they made was countered by them not being able to accurately add the usage charge to the standing charge, so all evened out in the total. 😀

You can switch on email statements in the Communications section under Settings on your online account

Just got my first statement. Apparently my account number (which I had never seen before in the online account) is the same as my telephone number. Seems a random and not particulary secure way to generate it.

Thanks, Friday 7th August is the earliest date I can change tariff without incurring exit fees.
