Fuse Energy, anybody with them?

Yesterday I renewed my Gas tariff with Fuse on their Aug 15month V4 tariff. Today I noticed a new V5 version a little cheaper so contacted them on chat and was immediately changed to the cheaper V5 version without exit fees as I was within the 14 day cancellation period.
Top Marks to Fuse!

I switched my gas to Fuse in May and changed my tariff 7 times. Every time I changed the 14 day cancellation timer restarted.
I finally settled on the July Single Rate Fixed (15m) v2 tariff.

They were at 15m v7 yesterday afternoon, now it is v10 !

Less than a month into joining so it rather annoys me they already nag for a time limited referral scheme before I've hardly any reasonable experience of them.
If they had confidence in their service etc that should be available any time.

A new 18month tariff now available quite a bit cheaper than their 13 month tariff.
Booked a new gas meter yesterday. Jeff S came and fitted it this morning and it soon connected to my IHD and showing current usage and cost. Barely 24 hours from deciding to have a smart gas meter,as my old one went dumb, to all sorted.
Top Marks to Fuse again !

Well I switched away at the weekend, but directly Fuse knew (several days before switch date) my data stopped being updated on Bright app and the Fuse app became less "useful".
I followed up the Bright app issue with Hildebrand- after a few emails they confirmed that the WAN was up and connecting to the DCC but my meter(s) had stopped sending readings! They have now managed to get the readings restarted and the gaps from last week and a half ,have all been filled.
No proof - but feels like something caused by Fuse. Could have stayed with them as fix offered for 15 months (?) was very slightly cheaper than Ecotricity 24 month fix ,but only by a few £s p.a

My switch to Fuse from Octopus has just completed and I see the direct debit set up is variable although I can change that to fixed. Snag is they want to collect a 28% uplift on my normal annual usage. That strikes me as excessive so I will continue with the variable and squirrel away a cushion for those winter months.
I just wondered if anyone had had any success negotiating a more reasonable fixed monthly payment?

Just stay on variable DD and manage your own monthly payment into a savings account. Why would anyone pay them extra to hold on to your money in advance?

They will reduce Fixed Monthly Payment if you ask them nicely

I just signed up for Fuse for Gas yesterday (finally rid of EDF after a 4 year fight over a faulty gas meter), and there was no referral option, but I went ahead anyway. I went to track how the switch was going, and I see they're now offering £100 (for both referrer and referee) to switch.
So, if you're thinking of doing so, get someone you know to refer you (or google and there's plenty of sites where people post their codes).
I found a code online and now have the £100 credit pending my first bill being paid.
