Well we had a lovely time with our friends. We all went out on Friday and did a trawl of all the charity shops in the local market town. I lost count after 8. Got some really good bargains though. Hubby spotted a naval uniform (trousers and jacket). To be used for our Steampunk adventures. He is quite tall and thin and it was a perfect fit. I got a small wooden pirate galleon which will be sprayed black and fixed to my pirate hat. One of our friends got some waterproof fishing over trousers/waders too and their other half got some beautiful flowery DM type boots for less than half price in the sale. A good haul. This week hubby and a neighbour have been erecting my new potting shed. Advice to everyone - do not buy from Gardens B......Direct. The quality is rubbish. Some of the pieces are cut incorrectly and have to be made to fit. 2 of the perspex window had holes in them (have reported this but based on a lot of the reviews the replacements may not be forthcoming). Still - we will make it workable. Hopefully the weather is on the up - sunshine forecast. All my daffodils, aconites, crocus and snowdrops are blooming. Another success seems to be an Acer which we moved in the Autumn. It had been planted (by the previous owners) close to the side of the garage and behind another large tree so never got the best from it. We decided we would take the chance and move it. Checked it yesterday and loads of new leaf buds so the prospects look good. I managed to buy a few mixed packets of flower seeds in the sale too so hopefully some of them will take.3

I'm afraid gardening is a complete anathema to me. Though I admire what people do, I just don't enjoy it! Our garden has a lawn, lots of Welsh slate, a decking area, a patio and a few pots! Definitely not a contender for Britain in Bloom.1

Still sounds a nice garden @Organgrinder
