Morning @uralmaid. Hope your trip to Whitby went well and the weather didn’t affect you too much. The weather has been pretty mixed here, not the greatest of summers so far!!
Booked to go to Betwys Coed in Wales next month so hoping for some nice weather, I can dream!
Also, just just booked for Lake Garda for next May As as has been one of my bucket list destinations for several years.Really loving the Merlin app, amazing how many different types of birds are out in the woods that I never see.Money SPENDING Expert1 -
Thanks @bluenose1 we had a brilliant time. Our photo of us enjoying the Steampunk Morris dancers was in the Yorkshire Post too. Weather was warm if not always sunny. Hope you get good weather for your Welsh trip. Glad you are enjoying the Merlin app too.3

Evening @uralmaid good to read that you had a brilliant time in Whitby. Go you appearing in a local newspaper!
@bluenose1 it is a very long time since I visited beautiful Wales, but if I remember correctly there was a very scenic river at Betws-y-Coed. We used to do a bit of walking in The Black Mountains years ago. I hope that you have a wonderful time.2 -
So glad you had a great time @uralmaid. Just googled it and the costumes were fantastic, the work that must go into them is incredible. Met a birdwatching chap in the woods today and he was very interested when I mentioned told him about the Merlin app, so spreading the word. It’s years since we have been to Betwys-y-Coed as well @humboldt, though think I know where you mean. Vaguely remember Fairy Glen and Swallow Falls being lovely spots to visit. We will use the All Trails app to choose some nice walks in area.Money SPENDING Expert2

Morning @uralmaid I hope that you are well and have been making the most of this lovely weather. I must admit that I hadn't thought of checking out the photo in the Y0rkshire Post online until @bluenose1 mentioned it. Anyway, I found it, and the costumes are amazing. It looks like quite a unique event and a very popular one too. Your motorhome must provide you with so many opportunities for travel. Do you have other trips planned this summer?
@bluenose I think that I now need to checkout the All Trails app...0 -
Hi @ Humboldt. Yes thanks am well and have been making the most of the weather. The Steampunk weekend is very popular. There are 2 each year in Whitby February and August. Big one coming up in Lincoln at August bank holiday. We are only going for the day though as it isn't far from us. I am laughing about the moho - to be honest we hardly use it. My husband always seems to have some project on the go which stops us going away. No more trips currently planned this year unless we suddenly decide to go off. Have a good week1

Well this week have definitely not been very MSE. 2 years ago we bought our motorhome. She is a 2005 model but in excellent condition apart from doing necessary works. We were thinking of changing to a newer model and have looked at a few but in order to get more space we would need to get a longer van which we don't really want to do so have decided to keep "Elsa" which counts as Moneysaving!! Bought a couple of motorhome associated things plus getting her MOT'd and a couple of things fixed.
Then decided to move the study from upstairs to downstairs so purchased new furniture and a new filing cabinet. Hubby also has his eye on a new cabinet for his hifi. Purchased some new bedding for the upstairs room (I like things to match). Once it is redecorated (the last room in the house) I shall be ordering a new bedframe, mattress, drawers and bedside cabinets. Also bedside lights. Oh - and I may have ordered a couple of items required for a new Steampunk outfit as we are going to Lincoln at the end of the month for the Steampunk weekend. I promise to rein the spending in very shortly but in my defense I did shop around to get the best possible prices for all the items.Have a good week everyone.

There are so many lovely places which aren't jam packed eg Castell Dolwyddelan.
Further east the clwydian range has lots of nice walks, eg from Llangwyfan Forest car park there is a loop around Pen-y-Cloddiau with stunning views taking in parts of Offa's Dyke.
And if you're feeling brave (and in some areas it really is appreciated) try "bore da" - good morning, "p'nawn da" - good afternoon, "diolch" - thank you and "hwyl" - goodbye.

Hi @Humboldt. Flippin hifi systems! The main one my hubby has is all individual items- turntable, tuner etc. Because we have decided to move the study into a different room we felt it was time to replace all the storage units. The current ones are a bit worse for wear and were purchased from MFI many moons ago. The problem is hubby decided he needs a hifi storage rack/tower but most of the ones we have investigated aren't tall enough in his opinion. (note: we have 2 other hifi systems in the house but they are small condensed units). So the hunt goes on. To add insult to injury we decided to purchase a new filing cabinet. As we are changing the storage to white we found a white one in Staples and duly ordered. It arrived yesterday and we could see some puncture marks on the box and sure enough when we opened it the filing cabinet was damaged in 3 places. I immediately rang Staples who said I must take photos and send an email to which they would then respond. I did this but 24 hours later have not had a response and the damaged cabinet together with the huge box are stuck in the middle of the room. I am shortly going to ring them and vent my annoyance!!! On another note the daisies I ordered to decorate the outside of "Elsa" have arrived so she will look very jolly on her next outing.1
