Thanks @bluenose1 and @Humboldt - Hopefully the dentist will go well. Been very warm here today especially as we were walking around the village weeding and deadheading the planters. Just finished watering all my own garden pots and going to relax and watch Bake Off The Professionals followed by Great British Sewing Bee.2

Hi @uralmaid how was the table top sale? We had intermittent rain over the weekend, which resulted in several local charity events either being cancelled, or having a low number of attendees. Such a shame when you think of the planning and organising that takes place behind the scenes. Still, we have no control over the weather, and just have to adjust accordingly.0

Afternoon @Humboldt. It went very well. We did get a heavy shower but as all the stalls were inside it didn't matter. I spoke to all the stallholders and they had enjoyed it and will definitely book again so that was a good result. I always feel sorry for people holding events when it rains. Months of planning have gone into it and it is horrible when it spoils things.2

Hi @uralmaid. Hoping the dentist went well.
I noticed our village gardening group now has a big planter of herbs they have created at train station and said people can go and help themselves to a snip of anything they need for cooking. Thought that was a lovely idea. Weather not been great here but managed a bit of weeding and deadheading yesterday.Money SPENDING Expert1 -
Hi @bluenose1. It is a good idea and we have introduced one in our village. Weather has been not so good here either. In fact it felt positively chilly. Where's the summer gone? because of the rain - I can virtually see the grass growing before my eyes even though the lawn has just had a cut.2

Morning @uralmaid, @bluenose1 and anyone else who is reading. Blooming weather! We had heavy rain overnight and this morning I saw that 2 of my cucumbers plants have been munched. Normally in July my veg boxes are overflowing with abundant produce, but not this year. I love that growing herbs and vegetables amongst flower beds/pots has become common practice in public spaces. We also have a local community garden, where donated vegetable/herb seeds/plants are grown and people are encouraged to help themselves. The rhubarb and French beans are normally prolific and enjoyed by many. Let's hope the weather improves for the weekend.3

This weather is awful. At the moment the sun is out but it feels a bit chilly and it is quite breezy. I went in the garden to do a bit of weeding and since coming in I have done nothing but sneeze and my eyes are itching.3

Most of our community veg planters double as bike stands!Signature removed for peace of mind3 -
Morning @uralmaid, @Savvy_Sue and anyone else who is reading. I guess I should be grateful that I do not have badgers to contend with in the garden. Slugs/snails have now munched all of the cucumber plants in my veg box. Rather than sacrifice the 3 remaining, I will continue to grown them in the summer house. Woke to more rain this morning, in fact, when I opened the curtains earlier it looked more like autumn than July. Hope that you are feeling better @uralmaid3

Hi @Humboldt. Feeling good today. Finally got my new front teeth. Now just got to learn how to speak with them. Dentist said it may take a week or so to adjust to them. He recommended reading out loud so I may try that. I had to stake and tie up all my plants by the front door this week. They had got battered by the heavy rain. Not too affected by slugs thank goodness but on top or the badgers, squirrels and deer a flippin mole has been busy on the front lawn. I am heartily sick of all this rain. We are getting ready preparing the motorhome for our little jaunt to the music festival and of course the forecast is for rain! At the moment the weather for our trip to Whitby is looking brighter but with 13 days to go it will probably change knowing our luck. Hope you have a good week.3
