Thanks @bluenose1. Nettle stings were short-lived but the flippin mozzie bites are still itchy. It's my own fault. I have numerous lotions and potions but always forget to put them on until I feel something bite, which is then too late. The crockery and cutlery sounds a good alternative but beware - once you get them you will be thinking - "if I just buy that it will compliment the crockery etc" and the whole thing may snowball
. This last week I donated a load of items to a local charity - 5 bin bags full of throws and cushions which I have bought over the last few years to go with various colour schemes etc. It is a good cause - and the added bonus of giving room to buy more! I think we need to start a new thread on here for shopaholics/collectors !

DH has had to water the garden since, but I know where the repellent is and I'll use it before I venture out!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

haha @uralmaid. You are right re how buying new things tends to snowball into other purchases, I am not as bad as I was but can identify with being a shopaholic…..
I am currently being sensible and have told myself I can only buy new items if I declutter the kitchen etc first, seeing as that will take weeks I will have lost my enthusiasm to replace everything by then.
In fact the whole house needs a declutter, I am making very slow inroads.Money SPENDING Expert3 -
Hi @uralmaid I hope that you are well. Having just returned from holiday my garden is in need of some tlc. Is it just me, or is there a hint of a shift in the season? Autumn bedding plants are now outside the supermarkets and we need to put the lights on in the evening. I was only away for a couple of weeks and suddenly find my email box full of Christmas offers!
Hope that you are feeling batter @Savvy_Sue.1 -
Hi Humboldt. Yes we are both well. Definitely a change in the gardens - seems like Autumn is arriving. We went to a Parish Council meeting yesterday evening and when we came out at 8.15 it was dark. I have seen some Christmas adverts already too. We are very excited that our new "transport" is arriving tomorrow. Decided not to book Scotland for our first trip out on it but have booked a cottage in Norfolk instead so not as far. Hope you had a good holiday.1

Morning @uralmaid, we had an amazing holiday thank you. I hope you have now taken delivery of your new transport and that you are pleased with it. Lovely to read that you have booked a cottage in Norfolk. DH and I have only visited the costal towns of Hunstanton, Brancaster, Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea, but would like to explore the county more. Such stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife, with the added bonus of being the driest and sunniest county in England.0
