Today I am grateful for a lie in, for the swimming pool people being lovely and letting me and pip be merpeople and take underwater photos, for birdsong (though not really the magpies or crows...), for the six nations.Shall I set up March? I meant to offer a while ago, then the month just ran away with itself! Can't recall if someone else was going to do it??NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!10

@grandmanerd please don't assume that everything taken by house clearance companies will go to landfill. Most will have sales outlets for anything saleable - I work with people in this field. They may even reduce what they charge for the clearance if there is saleable stuff. If you think about it, not only can they make money by selling on, but they have to pay for landfill, so will avoid where they can. Many are quite environmentally conscious too. So don't let environmental concerns sway you unnecessarily, so long as you ensure that they are properly licensed. You can always ask what they do with stuff, and choose a company based on that. Of course, you may wish to donate some things to charity separately. And first of all make sure that there is nothing that you or your family want of course.

Money,Money,Money,Money,Money,Money,Money,Money makes the world go around! - sorry, was channelling my inner Liza Minelli .I have just been studiously ignored in yet another carpet shop. I must not look wealthy enough to engage with. Then I went into a huge secondhand furniture shop, and got 'Good Morning'ed by 4 people in 5 minutes, so I know I am not invisible today. How can some people be so bad at their job? Was feeling very 'Pretty Woman on Rodeo Drive', people really should not judge on appearance. I know which shops I don't want to give my money to. Anyway,self-indulgent whinge over. This is the last week of the month, and I have a list of achievable things to get done before Friday.Good deed of the day done already - drove my 81 year old to and from volunteering, made him a hot drink, and reminded him about v0ltar0l for his sore knee when he got home.It is cold and wet in LeShire, keep warm Turtle-friends, wherever you are.

Thank you @apple_muncher for offering to set up March!
I am back after a bit of a break, have been feeling rather under the weather in the past 2 weeks, and have now an appointment with the specialist on Thursday evening. Hopefully this will solve the problem, or at least find the right path to investigate. I have been growing rather angry with the cultural establishment in the last few days (mini-rant coming) as anything to do with women's health issue is so under-studied, so dismissed by doctors, family and employers, we grow up being indoctrinated that we have to pretend everything is fine and act like it's just another day and it's not a big deal, so we reach a ripe adult age (in my case 40) before we realize that 1)it is not normal 2) not everyone suffers so much but at the same time 3) we are not the only one! Apologies and rant over (for now).
This said, I had a very nice weekend, as went to a yarn festival with my friend and her daughter on Saturday. I had budgeted for it, but ended up spending more than the budget... but then I needed a bit of pick-me-up, so I'm not feeling guilty about it. It was a really lovely day, and I keep glancing at my little bags of wool and they do bring me joy, so that's that. Yesterday we took advantage of the sun in the morning and tried (and succeeded!) to get ahead of the rain to go to the Great Windsor Park and walk around the lake with the dog. The dog was super happy, and we also had a very nice walk, although we were both a bit tired by the time we got home. Had a nice relaxed afternoon and evening, did quite a bit of knitting.
Today it was a quiet day at work, which was a nice and welcome change from the past few weeks. I am definitely trying to take things slowly and do one thing at a time, with the time I have, to try and keep on top of the house and not fall back into the overwhelm of January, and for a certain extent it is working, which is definitely a win, although there's a few areas that will need a bit more attention when I can.
I've been keeping up with the thread and as usual it is a big help.
Today I am grateful for reaching my target NSD of 18 days, a quiet Monday for OH getting dinner ready.

Today I am grateful for all the M suggestions (keep 'em coming!), for an out and about day, for my lovely GP, for having a good bus network, for spocksavers sorting out pip's specs after he got an arm in the face in a drama lesson , for a huddle of hyacinths(if that the correct collective noun- I doubt it!!!).
