Welcome Earth : ) yes, of course you can join.
EGG FRIED RICE FREE ON GREEN
Cook your rice as normal or as per packed instructions.
At the same time spray a big frying pan with fry light and cook your mushrooms, onions, garlic for 5 mins.
Add the cooked rice and peas and a bit of worcester sauce or soya sauce.
Pour two beaten eggs over the mixture and stir. Cook for a further five minutes.
That is the basics, other fried rice versions could have soya, vegetables or prawns in them (the prawns wouldn´t be free on green though)
Hope that helps. Now for the bath lol ...24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

Crikey. SO glad I found this thread. Thank you poodlehorse, both for the HEB info and the apple tip. I didn't realise cooked fruit wasn't free. (I'm going to ignore that DH cooked some fruits of the forest into my porridge this morning because I NEED to choccie bar I've been saving up for all day! Tomorrow I'll just put the fruit over it once it's cooked.)May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Lilysmum - I remember making egg fried rice and pouring the egg over and it never quite worked, it made it all a bit soggy, so the next time I kind of pushed all the rice to the side a bit first and more or less scrambled the eggs in the bottom of the wok and then once it had started to cook incorporated the rice and stuff. It worked much better but no idea if I did it right or just did something odd the first time. I measure my prawns defrosted and when I need to defrost them in a hurry I stick them in a bag in warmish water and keep adding a touch more hot as the prawns will cool it.0

Thanks for the tips.
I actually "scrambled" the eggs in the pan first before adding the other ingredients.
It was yummy and I am stuffed.
I still have all my syns from today to use too and I just don't think I have any room for anything else.
now on to :A :A :A :A :A0 -
I made up a side dish for dinner and I have since converted it to a snack so thought I would post it here. Basically I bought a red cabbage when I was thinking I should have variety more in the veg we eat. Got it home and shoved it in the fridge until I could think what to do with it. Tonight I had chicken in honey and mustard and swede mash and decided tonight was the night. I shredded the cabbage and and onion and stir fried in frylight, I added 1/4tsp each of cinnamon and nutmeg and a glug of redwine vinegar, once cooked I tossed in a chopped apple and just stirred through to coat with the "dressing" and warm up a bit but I really wouldn't say it was cooked at all. Serve. Now there was a bit left over as I made heaps and DH doesn't really like any cabbage so I decided I would polish it off as a snack so I have just taken what was left and dolloped on some 0% Greek and stirred through, a bit more salt and pepper (as I actually forgot to season earlier) and eating it on its own but it is like a lovely light coleslaw, everything is still crunchy but the onions have lost their rawness and have gone mellow. And it is all a lovely shade of lilac. Bit of an experiment but going to do this again.0
