Well done on your weightloss Jamtart and Hostie,
Lilly'smum: hope the bowels are moving soon, must be at least another 2 pounds of weightloss!!
reading my SW books in bed (as you do) I discovered the Mix2max day. So you can have a green breakfast and red lunch and green/red tea.
Has anyone tried it? Is it confusing or really good?
today will be the test, the weekend is where I usually fail. But determined to be  today, so am getting stuck into the housework, have a filling breakfast (which I usually skip at the weekend and then pick all day) and forget about food. Have a great day everyone :wave:0 -
Hello Lilly'sMum
Another idea is SW scanbran - drink water with it and it is meant to do the trick!
Just don't try all ideas at once or could get messy

I feel tons better just in general when I have Miss Phish's idea of lemon in hot water, it really only takes a couple of days to realise you are feeling tons better and more alert just by doing this one thing. Haven't done it in ages so I will start from tomorrow morning, thanks for the reminder.
I had such a good day yesterday although looking back I missed out having an HEA at all - oops. I went green so it would fit in with dinner so I had two boiled eggs for brekkie and half a melon. Baked potato and beans for lunch and then Creamy Prawn Curry with loads of rice for dinner, I had my 2 Alpen Lights over the course of the day too, I know how I missed my HEAs as originally I was planning macaroni cheese but then remembered I had taken prawns out to defrost so it all changed but I forgot to have it all together. I was stuffed too so only managed to use up some syns by having a little stumpy bottle of beer with the curry. I was heading to bed and thought should I go and use the rest up but was still so full I couldn't be bothered - I NEVER carry syns over so I am chuffed to bits with that. I might have got an angel had I not forgotten my HE though. Oh well at least I had my b choices.0 -

I am feeling very "bunged up" at the moment (sorry if tmi)
Not very healthy, but pretty effective - a really strong black coffee and a cigarette. Often gets things moving!
Otherwise, dried fruit is good, plenty of water, exercise, and not too much tea (which is helpful for diarrhoea, so slows things down a bit).
Good luck!0 -
Try porridge with prunes and a grated apple in the cooking, Lilly's mum. (And lots of water. And keep active.)
I have a questiona bout the food optimising book. It's not the new one, it's the one that was being given out last autumn with the pic of chips on the front and pears on the back.
On the green b choice grab and go section on p43, it says that you can either have 2 ryvita dark rye/original/sesame OR 4 Ryvita Dark rye/original.sesame. (6th and 5th choices from the bottom in the grab and go box.)
Does someone know which it is? 4 or 2? Or do you get half sized ones and they're both right?!
Thanks.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Apparently if you have two it is a HEB and speed food but if you have 4 it is also a HEB but not a speed but it is a double fibre food or something. So you can genuinely have 2 or 4, this question was asked on a couple of the other forums I visit so it seems to be a real confusing issue but that was the rough gist of the answers given. Being a pig I would always go for 4 unless I was really in a rut and needed to have loads of speed foods.0

Just a note about adding grated apple to your porridge, when I do this I do it right at the very end of cooking so it doesn't have time to cook as once fruit is cooked you have to syn it, but I like it incorporated through my porridge and warm so I do it just at the very end a quick stir and then straight into the bowl. Mmmmm, now all I want if porridge for brekkie tomorrow. Going to weigh it out now and leave it beside the hob so I remember cos that sounds goooood.0

Thanks for all the tips, I will have a go and see if they help.
I don't have any scanbran but I remember from last time I didn't like them.
Can't try the porridge one either - I really don't like porridge.
I really fancy some egg fried rice tonight but don't know how to make it.
I am off to cook some rice so hopefully when I check back later someone will know what else I need to do to it.
I have got some peas and mushrooms to put in it too - I don't like onions or peppers.
Hope you have all had good days today.

I have just found some yummy prawns in the freezer too so I can use them in it.
The 142g allowance for HE B is that frozen weight or do I need to defrost them first?0
