Your partner would be best taking food to work, to have total control over what is in it - things that would be 'free' are - Veggie soup or stew, noodle or rice salad, a pastry-less quiche or even a sandwich. Breakfast could also be taken in to work to eat there (or on the journey) and he will find weight loss easier if he eats breakfast.

I've found this week a bit tougher than last. After huge weight loss last week I wasn't expecting any this week, but now it's WI tomorrow I'm more worried I'll have gained!
I haven't cheated, I've just rarely varied my food, probably not eaten enough, and eaten lots of processed / pre-prepared stuff.
Ah well, we'll find out tomorrow!0 -
Am I right in thinking that the Danone Activia 0% fat yoghurts are free on both days?0

good evening,
Seems like you all had a reasonable day
My books were waiting for me when I got back from work :jump:
Guess what I will be doing all evening??
Had a quick nosey and just spotted that 6 brazil nuts are HE b wahoo!!!
I had 3 for breakfast and thought of counting them as 3 syns but now I can have another 3..
I love the plan so far.
breakfast: 3 brazil nuts and 1 banana
lunch : 2 slices wholemeal bread (from 400gr loaf) with boiled egg
0% fat greek yoghurt with blueberries and maple syrup (2 syns)
tea: baked potato, baked sweet potato, 42 gr reduced fat cheese and
baked beans (he a)
snacks: apple, clementine
I am full!! Still have lots of choice for later, if I need it
Oh Jamtart, you have to do what is right for you. I have done Core and the evenings are just too long for me, only allowed to eat at mealtimes and only so many points for the whole week. If it works for you then go for it.. we will miss you...0 -

I'm attempting to do SW fromn home, also. Got some great tips here. :money:
My folks are doing it - Dad has lost over five stone in 10 months!
I'm not even brave enough to say how much I reckon I need to lose:o but I'm pretty sure that SW will be the key for me!
Have never 'dieted' before, and think I will find it hard to actually eat ENOUGH on the SW plan!
Can't wait to see how I get on. Hope noone here minds me picking their brains!0 -
Welcome to the site & this thread mo, your dad has an amazing loss. Do ask him to pop in here sometime so he can inspire us all! Good luck xxPiggypoints - 207+£10 * Quidco - £95 * Tesco - 1095 * Sainsbugs - 4237

Jamtart - I fully believe different plans are right for different people, WW doesn't fit in with my eating style ie I need to be able to eat lots and frequently so need as many filling free foods as I can lay my hands on. But I can see that it might be better for other people especially if you don't have a voracious appetite. My mum would be able to do WW no bother as she doesn't eat in great volume before she is full. You do what is right for you chuck and good luck in your weight loss. We'll be cheering you on from across the fence.
Welcome mojo - your dad has done so well. I know a lot of people feel they are eating far more on SW than when they were eating too many calories. It feels wrong mentally as we think of losing weight linked to denial but when you see the weight come off you will get your head round it and realise that your tastebuds are being re-educated. You can eat loads and still lose weight or maintain if you choose the right foods and that means satisfying meals. It will be great to have the support of your family on the plan, at least they won't be unwittingly steering you off course as my DH often does, he bought me Danish pastries at the weekend as a "treat". He meant well...0
