  • Hello all

I joined slimming world a year ago, I had loast one and a half stone by June. Our house was flooded and we are still in temp accomodation. I have not lost any weight since the Flood. I have not gained any weight either though so Kind of pleased with myself. I have just found this thread and am hoping it will give me inspiration and support!! I am wanting to lose a further 5 stone. So fingers crossed for this year!!!

Congratulations to all those who are sticking at it, I know how hard it is!

Why has she gone over with a splash of milk? You can have cheese and milk on SW now.

    Catt xx

Sorry Catt I am new. I said that she might have gone over - as I was unsure, and hoped someone with more knowledge might have corrected me.

Fox's party rings 1+1/2 syns on both green or original days. I don´t even know what these are lol but checked it online for you.

Well done Lillys Mum and Poodlehorse. : )
    Welcome shed head. : )

Now, if a product has 7 +1/2 syns for 28grams is it ok to just assume that 4 grams will only have 1 syn? (Maths might be wrong but you know what I mean - is it ok to divide syn figures proportionately or are they fixed. Maybe the first 2 syns accrue before it even reaches your mouth lol
No but seriously how do people do it?

The reason I am asking is that cooking chocolate has 7+1/2 syns for 28grams ...
24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)
    7.10.14 11 st 9 lb
    26.02.15 12 st 5 1/2 lb
    27.05.15 11 st 5.6 lb
    4.8.17 11 st 1lb
    Target weight: 10 1/2 stone
  • Hi Hostie, that is what I do with syns. Divide them up. I think that is what SW does cos if you look at their recipes for 4 and work out the syns for the whole dish and then look at their syns per portion it is exactly 1/4. Does that make sense? I am up too early for my brain to be able to cope with language properly and the caffeine in my tea hasn't kicked in yet.
I just wish that when SW printed their recipes and showed a syns per portion that in the ingredients list they put in brackets the syn values on each item if there is one. It would be easier than when you are halving the recipe etc, fine if it is all easy free ingredients or stuff you are likely to just KNOW but sometimes I spend ages with my book checking the ingredients and I like to much about with the recipes to suit me and again that can affect things.

    Well done lillysmum and poodlehorse.

Just to keep you updated, I was going to enrol tomorrow night SW, but OH reminded me it is his daughters birthday and we are going round there for dinner so will have to enrol next week.

I am surprised at how disappointed I am, I really want to get started now.

I am going to look through this thread to see if there are any daily menu's here (I think I may have seen some) so I can start it now.

MISSMASSEFFECT can you post your recipe for shepherds pie for me please?
