Nessa don't worry - I took my Mum to my first meeting but bumped into my best friend from school! You make friends really easily especially if you're in a class who has a laugh!

Thanks Skint Catt
I do hope it is a class that likes a laugh, makes all the difference doesn't it
One thing I forgot to ask is will still be allowed my couple of glasses of red wine of an evening (medicinal purposes of course)

A (pub!) measure of red is 5/6 syns. A home poured measure (well mine anyway!) is more like 8/9 but still enjoyable!
This is one area I don't mind cuting down though my OH has a whiskey and a glass of wine (amoungst other things) every night and hasn't lost any weight since Sept!

Good afternoon,
I started today, couldn't wait until my starter pack arrives in the post.
I bought the Jan/Feb magazine
Until I get the pack and read all the rules I will keep things simple, I am a bit confused about the HE a and HE b, the magazine doesn't really explain
I decided that today is a red day so I had:
scrambled egg with splash of milk for breakfast
I looked in the magazine and saw on the menu for red day a baked potato for lunch () the menu said 8 oz, mine was 7 1/2 oz, topped with 42 gram of reduced fat cheese and slices of ham and tomato
0 % fat greek yoghurt with splash of Maple syrup (syns?)
so have I used too many HE options a or b ?
roasting a chicken for tea tonight, will have the leg(or two) with lots of veg, is that ok?
So keen to get started.. but confusing if you don't have all the facts.
Thanks for bearing with me..0 -

I decided that today is a red day so I had:
scrambled egg free with splash of milk for breakfast tiny bit of your healthy a
I looked in the magazine and saw on the menu for red day a baked potato for lunch () the menu said 8 oz, mine was 7 1/2 oz healthy B i think??, topped with 42 gram of reduced fat cheese healthy A and slices of ham and tomato free
0 % fat greek yoghurt free with splash of Maple syrup (syns? - YES PROBABLY NO IDEA HOW MANY THO!)
so have I used too many HE options a or b ? think the only thing you have gone over is a tiny bit of milk as a healthy a, but seems to be ok i think?? i personally wouldnt worry!
roasting a chicken free for tea tonight, will have the leg(or two) with lots of vegfree, is that ok? yes but any potatoes need to be counted as healthy B's!
So keen to get started.. but confusing if you don't have all the facts.

Maple syrup - 2 syns per level tablespoon. Not that bad really, think that is worth it.
Right off to class now, not thinking it will be good news as I have had a few little bits extra or guestimates of how much things are etc. It will be a miracle if I have lost. But got to go find out the worst. Wishing I hadn't just eaten an Alpen Light now with a cup of tea but I was starving and wont' get dinner until I come home as have been out all afternoon and no time as usual for anything but a snack. Wish me luck girls.0 -
Why has she gone over with a splash of milk? You can have cheese and milk on SW now.
