I'm going to make the shepherds pie with extra lean mince and topped with swede. I only have some Ainsley Harriott gravy sachets in the house, if I use this, can anyone please tell me how many syns there are in each sachet. Thanks.0

So I can have cheese and milk? Is it only 1 HE a and 1 HE b? I am sure it will all become clear to me once I have the books, I was just really keen to get started because I am in the right frame of mind. I will stick to the menu plan on the website or the one from the magazine, can't go wrong then.. I have lots to lose (about 10 stone) so have a fair bit to go..
Good for the maple syrup 2 syns
Chicken was great, just had it with steamed green beans and broccoli and I didn't miss the potatoes at all. Evenings are the hardest for me, I can just nibble and nibble all night long, especially after the kids go to bed, I have to make a big effort to distract myself from grazing. Hope your weigh-in was a positive one, poodlehorse, I hate those the most. Because if I haven't lost what I had in my mind I should have (does that make sense?) I get disheartened and give up. I am going to weigh myself at Boots tomorrow and not get too focused on the weighing every week. I will try and weigh every two weeks.
going to focus on eating nice things and not being hungry, I hate being hungry on a diet.
Well it seems that I have a few syns left.. Trying to eat just once before bed, instead of going back to the kitchen for something else and something else.. Hope you are all having a great evening..0 -
Well I am just back from my weigh in and..............I have lost 1 1/2lbs:j :j :j :j
I am so glad something has happened eventually!!!
The only disappointing thing I would like to say is that at the moment I cannot stay to class, (as I have the 3 kiddies and daddy away until end of March) but even though over the last 3 weeks I haven't been losing or staying to class my consultant has not once been in touch.
I would have expected her to maybe show a little concern and just drop me an email to see if I was ok - maybe I am over analysing it but when I was a consultant we were told to always follow up a member who wasn't losing or wasn't staying to class.
Anyway hope your weigh in went well poodlehorse and anyone else being weighed tonight.0 -
:T Great result Lillys mum!! Well done, at least you are feeling that you are doing it right..well done..!0

You can have two healthy extra A's a day - these are your cheese and milk (diff flavours/weights) and two healthy extra B's - bread, fibre, cereals etc ( plus pots, peas, parsnips, sweetcorn on a red day/meat, fish, etc on a green day).
Catt xx
Well done Lillys Mum! :j0 -
Well done Lilysmum - phew! I am like you I have to miss class loads as DH works offshore for half the year. Got to stay tonight for the first time and it was nice to feel part of everything for a change rather than rushing in and going before DS gets too bored. I lost 1lb!! I am amazed it wasn't a maintain to be honest since I made a few guesses and a couple of stupid syns errors in the week. I am really going to plan the week though and have aimed for a loss of 2 for next week. I am only 0.5lb off my half stone award and I so wanted that this week too. Really tired and DH hasn't put DS to bed GRRRR and now he is hyper and DH is off with our joiner who has just appeared at this time of night. SO guess who gets the joy once again. Oh well what's new. Starving too and can't be bothered cooking properly so I am just going to have some rollmops and salad and then crash in front of the TV before bad so I will say goodnight all now.0

If you make the shepherds pie following the recipe from the magazine you dont need gravy, you use a tin of chopped tomatoes. The sauce taste lovely. This recipe is fantastic as its free on red days and although the recipe states it serves 4 you can eat it all in one sitting if you really fancied
If your stuck send me a message i have the recipe for it sitting right here i can go over it or if anyone fancies it.
Oooooooooooh may i add, i gained 1lb tonight booo hooooooI will be on track again tomo tho. Whats with the alpen extra light bars ??? How many do you get for your B choice ???
Thanks
Vicky
