  • My jaw literally dropped open at that loss Purplestar. I have never heard of such an amazing loss. WOW_party_  :j :T

So you got your half stone award on your first weigh in!!!! That has just cheered me right up!

I am being a teeny bit naughty today, I have had all my HEs but I have kept back my syns for a haggis/neeps/tatties starter. Going to have a steak for dinner but just have to have a little bit of haggis tonight. I am going to put it into a stack in a cookie cutter like we had at a wedding once. Just going to kind of guess that I need to keep all my syns back for it and a wee tot of the water of life:beer: . I don't even like Burns much but I do like haggis:D :rotfl:
  • Thank you so much, poodlehorse! Glad it cheered you up too!
Have a great Burns Night
  • Hi. I am feeling really pleased because on Wednesday at my second weigh-in I have lost another 3 1/2 lb. That means 8lb in 2 weeks!!!! I have never done anything that has given such a good loss!!! I just hope it doesn't all slow down next week!!
  • WOW you guys!!!!   Thats amazing!!!

I have dicovered an interesting pattern today - I can do SW without that much thought all week... until Friday when it all goes out the window. It is almost like i am rewarding myself for having gotten through the week at work or something. Anyway, not gonna sweat it cos ive had a lovely day and am now on a bottle of wine for Burns night AND Australia Day:beer:   Have a great night everyone :D

Hello all, thanks for the welcome miss phish.

I've discovered the section of the SW website for members but didn't get a password at the group so... oh well!

I really fancy a burger... but know I don't have a clue how to cook one. Does anyone know how many syns are in a Sainsbury's healthy living range burger? I have some of those lurking in my freezer....

    Ta.
  • Hi,
Can someone tell me where you can get this from? Neither the Asda nor the Tesco I shop at have this in stock. I can get beef bovril but not chicken. Is there anything Else I can use instead that is still free??

Thanks everyone for your support and suggestions. Thanks Miss Phish for suggesting I don´t have any biscuits in. It is so simple but (for me) very drastic lol. I will try to cut them out (I wrote go cold turkey first of all and then changed it to cut them out lol - the will power is feeble!) and will definitely try the chocolate mousse recipes so thanks poodlehorse for those. Also I am very excited about the alpen ideas lol. I have been having 3 slices of nimble and then a bowl of bran flakes as my HEBs but could probably do without the bran flakes.

What do people have on their toast? It seems such a waste of a syn to have honey or marmalade on my toast in the morning. Today I had a banana but some people have suggested that eating too many bananas can be a problem so don´t want to do that too often. I did have beans on toast one day and a fried (in frylight) breakfast another but these things seem far too heavy to help me lose much weight.

Well done crispeater and purplestar on your losses : )

Happy Burns Night to you all. I had veggie haggis too ... lol

Morning petal, I am a bit of a toast tart - sometimes I have a extra light cheest triangle and a teeny spread of jam, or light spread and vegemite, fried mushromms are a weekend favourite, beans or spag hoops if need something hot, I generally only have one slice of toast now and that keeps me going really well for about 3 hours or so. Don't worry about eating too much for breakfast - there is an old saying; 'breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and supper like a pauper'. This has to make the most sense in sensible eating - the majority of calories are eaten at the begining of the day to power you through, less calories are eaten later as you become more restful at night.
So long as its free or low eat all you want!

PS what on earth is in veggie haggis??

  • I am dreading my weigh in on Monday.

I have followed the plan again to the letter, had my A and B choices, lots of free food and 10syns per day.

I have alternated red and green days and made sure I varied my choices, I have even been drinking water - which is a first for me!!!

I weighed myself this morning and I am still the same as before.

I cannot believe it, what am I doing wrong? It worked brilliantly for me last time.

I have been on the plan since 02/01/08 and have only lost 1/2lb

It is not as if I only hve a few pounds to lose, I am just over 13 stone and at 5ft 3in I need to lose at least 3 stone.

    Why why why.

ps I am really pleased for everyone who is reporting fantastic losses :T :T , keep doing whatever it is you are doing.

    a very dishertened LM

    xx
