Hi again everyone
Just been reading all the new posts since I posted my first message - glad to see lots of SW members on here! I'm trying to do SW by myself at home to save some money as I can't really afford to join a club. I'm just about getting my head round Food Optimising but at times I do get stuck. If I have any questions, would anyone mind me asking them here? Like for example the other day I was having a Green Day and for lunch I had some Ryvita but wasn't sure how to count them - I think they should have been HE but am not sure?! I'm certain I'll get my head round it eventually, its just at the moment I'm struggling a little....!

I really needed to hear that as yesterday was not a good day - I wasn't feeling particularly well and managed to scoff a pasty AND a belgian bun.:o Blimey - I almost wanted to delete that then and not tell your all!!!
Also I have been doing a work out video but yesterday morning i didnt do the warm up and hurt an old knee injury.
So, today is a new day, I am focused once again and am going to stick to free & HE's only today (and maybe tomorrow too) (But no promises!)
Have a great weekend y'all xx
I am definately more confident than I was but I still have a lot of work to do with myself, I've had depression for quite a while so have a lot of areas in my life to work on still before I feel really good about how things are, losing four and a half stone has been a really good start for me though!
The people I see a lot have noticed how much weight I have lost but not as dramatically as the people I haven't seen for ages, everyone always asked me what I've done to lose it and I tell them which has meant there's a couple more SW converts out there now
The best feeling this year has been putting on my old size 26/28 trousers and seeing how much room there is now, I'm currently into sizes from a 16 to 20, hopefully this time next year I'll be in size 12's, I can dream anyway
Sorry to hear you had a bad day yesterday, it's good that you have the willpower to not dwell on it and start afresh, best way to beFollowing the Slimming World Plan and Exercising

Well, day 2 on the plan has gone well for me. Best discovery is that barbecue sauce is 1/2 syn per tablespoon! I love it!
Have been having a red day - chicken and bacon and fruit and veg.0 -

Can you really eat all that and lose weight??
YES!!! They wouldn't recommend it otherwise, people wouldn't continue with SW, and they would get a bad name LOL
Seriously, if you go to the SW website and read the pyschology of how food optimising works, you'll understand why you can eat lots and still lose weight. It's all about how full things make you feel. Pasta is free on green for instance as you couldn't realistically eat more than your normal plateful without bursting anyway!
I do understand all the above, but when it comes to Muller lights being free (I could eat five or six in a day if I am in an eating mood) I lose the understanding. Each pot has about 150 calories, but I don't find them particularly filling if you get my drift??
This is the mystery of slimming world to me. I realise very few people would eat eight eggs a day, or three pounds of pasta or whatever - it really is the free yoghurt thing that makes me wonder????Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

I have to laugh because I am the person who could easily eat 4-5 eggs a day and way more than normal amounts of pasta! Only my normal sized pasta bowl at once but I could go back for three more sittings at different intervals in the evening lol !!
This thread has made me laugh tonight, especially Poodlehorse when she said the cupboards are bare. So are mine lol. And when people admit to slipping up then it makes me feel normal. I had macaroni and cheese today which I think is 12 syns on a green day!!! Never mind.
Larmy16 if you really miss chocolate, I think that really dark chocolate is less fattening. There is a recipe on the eat yourself slim website (nothing to do with SW) for chocolate truffles made with chocolate with 85% cocoa solids. I don´t know how many syns they would be on SW but I made some a week or so ago and put them in the fridge and found that they hit the spot perfectly lol.24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

hello all, bad bad weekend - and it is only my second weigh in tomorrow night! Out for drinks and chinese meal last night and full Sunday dinner today - yes I know I should have left the roasties and york pudding as I was on a red day but it all went a bit wrong:eek: . And as for my sons chocolate cake for sweet well I couldn't refuse could I ?:rotfl: . I really need a good kick up the butt if I haven't lost any weight this week. I have been good Mon-Friday though........ honest!!
New SW peeps, how are you all doing in the early weeks - I am still finding it a bit confusing0
