Right girls I really need some help here.
I have just got back from my class and have lost 1/2lb. That is my total loss since I joined on 2nd January. I am very very disappointed and really feel like throwing in the towel it is just not fair, I have done everything to the letter and am just not seeing any results.
Please please help me.

Hey petal, I am so gutted for you - I havent seen you on here much and was wondering how you were doing. Please don't throw the towel in.
Presumably your consultant has taken your weeks food diary to look at and to find out where it going wrong? If so give her a bell tomorrow and tell her that you're so close to leaving because you're trying hard but not getting results.
A couple of other things - when you are premenstrual you weigh a few pounds heavier - could that be the problem? If so next week WILL be better.
Or, could you be pregnant? I know it sounds daft but even if you're really early on hormone changes could make weight fluctuate.
Please call your consultant and talk to her - its her job to sort out what is going on and fix it.

Thanks miss_phish
premenstrual, no that would account for week 1 as I was due the day after my weigh in.
pregnant - definate no no, my hubby is in Iraq and has been since Nov
Consultant has looked at my food diarys and said they are fine.
I am going to give it another go this week and see how I go but it is just so disheartening because I know I had fantastic results the last time I did it.
Any recipies lurking around would be great for some inspiration.
I have some definate dislikes though: -
tomatoes
onions
peppers
green beans
there are loads of fancy veg I have never tried and to be honest I am not keen on trying new ones.
I know I am hard to please, but if anyone can help I would be really grateful.

One thing that came up in class tonight was that if you repeat the same meals day in day out you apparently don't lose very much weight at all.
Does that sound possible? If so jiggle your menu up!
Have you got this months magazine or any of the old ones lying round? If so go through them and dig out recipes that you like the look of, there are loads of recipes on the 2 sites that have already been posted on this thread - here ya go; http://boba.multiply.com/recipes?&page_start=25 and google ivillage slimming world for the other one.
Get loads of free food in the house and snack whenever & wherever you feel like it - you know that SW has worked for in the past so really try and hang on in there and stay focused. We are all here for you sweetie, good luck!

Lily's mum - Miss Phish makes some excellent points there. Definitely have a chat with your consultant. Maybe there is something you are doing which you think is right but isn't eg for the whole of my first time on SW I thought brown rice was a HE on red, totally convinced of it. Only found out when I rejoine that it wasn't. I generally still had losses but not as good as I am having now. Make sure you are weighing out your syns and HEs too and not guessing them. And drink plenty of fluids. Or have you tried superspeed foods? I think Scan Brans are meant to be really good for boosting weight loss, I bought some this week and think they are quite nice and you get 5 for a HEB so you feel you are getting loads. Not sure if you are doing Mix2 MAtch days or not but if you are I might ditch them until you are on track with your losses. Are you doing more of one day than the other? I used to eat green Mon-Fri and red at weekends (so I could have bacon sarnies). Now I seem to be choosing red days more often than green and my losses are better than I have had normally. I have heard that some people don't do well on green. Others swear by it. I know that when I was on green days I bulked out on pasta and tended to forget to eat the other free foods but on red I can only have so much meat and I get bored so I have loads of fruit and veggies. This seems to be doing the trick. Are you eating the same things basically each day? On the SW forum that Trixiebelle put a link up for I notice there is a plan for plateauing that you can do for up to 14 days. It said you can get this from your consultant. So I am sure your consultant will have some tricks up her sleeve for you. Wishing you the best of luck. I am sure there is a good reason for this even if it is just hormones or needing to drink more (I often found the first week I maintained or lost half a pound due to not drinking enough and again that could have been all the pasta I ate and not much else LOL). Don't give up, keep posting and maybe give us some more details to go on about your food choices. HAve a good scout round the sites mentioned by the OPs too as I have learned loads from them already, especially the iVillage one.0

Sorry we cross posted, it can't have taken my 3/4 hour to post that last message but it must have, I get distracted and go do other things in the middle. Can you give us an idea of what you have been eating and what you normally like to eat and we can see what we can come up with?
Also are you stressed (just a guess because you are obviously a mum with a DH in Iraq!!) but my friend was telling me that your bodies fight or flight response is triggered in times of stress and it releases soemthing or other that makes it harder for you to lose weight. I know I am a bit vague but I was only half listening at the time. It might be relevant though.0 -
You could try cutting down or cutting out certain foods to see if it helps, I find when I eat too much of either Bread, Cheese, Bananas or Batchelors Pasta n Sauces that I don't lose very much weight.
The only other things I can suggest are that you make sure you are drinking plenty of water, eating lots of fruit and veg and getting lots of variety in what you're eating.
You could always try doing Success Express, it might give your body a kick start.Following the Slimming World Plan and Exercising

Thanks for your words of encouragement.
Stressed, yes I think that is probably in there somewhere, if I allow myself 5 mins to think about it.
I have just got my youngest DD (age 2) to bed, since daddy went she has had terrible trouble getting to sleep and that probably does have an effect on me as I have to be up at 7am to get the older 2 ready for school.
I will post some more tomorrow as I need to go get some sleep now.
Thanks again

Hello Lillys mum,
Stick with it. I know how you feel as I don´t think I have lost anything yet either but then I have been having squares of chocolate at night which I think is my downfall.
It might just be that it will take longer for your body to lose weight. Even if there are reasons why your body is holding on to it, it will start to drop in the end.
I recommend an indulgent fruit salad with real pineapple, melon and tiny bits of pink grapefruit. Grapefruit is meant to be accelerating but on its own is a bit too bitter, with the pineapple (or whatever other tasty fruits you have) it is nice.
Night night and good luck everyone.24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

Well I had my WI last night and despite being a bit worried that last week's curry takeaway was going to spoil my chances of a loss I managed 2.5lb. I am very pleased with that and can only put it down to doing more red days now that I have kicked the PAsta'n'sauce habit. I have even found my favourite jeans are constantly needing pulled up so I must be losing inches somewhere.0
