AMIE399 "in my food opt bookit says on both red or green as a heb you can have either 2 ryvita goodness bars or 1 ryvita goodness luxury bar .. any variety hth x"
Which book are you looking in and how old is it? There seems to be loads of confusion about this. Bit late now cos I ate it! x

Doesn't have it in my book (issued last August) but the website is up to date and its not there either.

If im on a red day, Im allowed one 227g weighed jacket as a HEB but can I have two 227g weighed jackets using up both my HEB options? I guess you could - you can do it with HEA's - but you wouldn't be getting a varied balanced diet so certainly not suggested more than a one off.

Similarly if Im on a green day and was having (endless!) jacket chips, could I use both HEB options for steak (i don't have my food op book with me so not sure on the weight allowed?) As above - not varied enough

Can you syn potatoes????? so if I was on a red day, I could have as many jacket chips as I liked plus endless meat?????? (I really dont think so but like I said too embarrased to ask....) Yes you can syn potato's but you can only have 15 syns and 28g (not much) of potato on a red day is 1 syn - how much potato do you want????

Today's menu includes a toffee muller light yogurt, beans for lunch and steak for tea BUT for my HEB options, I have 28g honey nut shredded wheat, a hi fi bar, a weighed jacket and 3 slices of weight watchers brown bread - obviously thats far too many HEB so I could syn my hi fi bar - can I syn my 28g honey nut shredded wheat? and how many would it be. H/N Shredded Wheat 28g is 5.5syns

If I dont have any HEB options left to have a potato with my steak, what can I have instead????? Sweet potato, green beans, salad excluding sweetcorn

Today's giggle for the day!!! Had a stir fry last night with some noodles. on draining the first lot of noodles - they ended up in the sink! second lot almost ended up the same way :rotfl: I've nearly done that with pasta!

Meal was quite tasty however! very simple and easy - used asda baby frozen veg plus some fresh mushrooms, spring onions and peppers with just soy sauce so totally free :D although four crispie cakes later kind of undid my good work ....

NB for lunch I had one somerfield meringue nest with strawberry lasting satisfaction yogurt and fresh strawberries. very yummy althought the meringue wasn't very chewy. Has anyone tried making their own meringues? one of our members at class mentioned using just egg whites and splenda and the merigngues turned out fine and I think were free as eggs free and splenda free.....

Another question. seem to have gone a bit mad on the muller light yogurts recently and have quite a few that should have been eaten by yesterday! how long do you think they keep for before they should really be ditched??? Months as long as they are in the fridge

Finally I have been doing SW since August and to be honest I am bored with it. but weekends are the worst and I always fail especially on the alcohol. Does anyone have any tips for me i..e any new ideas or menus I can try to keep me motivated??? Try 14 different HEBs a week - quite a challenge, but makes you think! Plan your weekend meals well in advance including a few synned treats! Spirits have lower syns than beer if mixed with a diet mixer? Have a look any the SW books on eBay - maybe buy one you like the look of and try a few things?

    Hope this helps!

I would definately try the recipe books...they really do give you some good ideas....otherwise look at normal books and you could maybe try to adapt them!!!

Thank you, Angela. :) I felt as if I couldn't have lost much because I ate so much! I made lentil soup twice, and risotto twice, and everytime I made it I said i'd save some for the next day. Never managed it yet. :o

Morning all, put on 1 1/2lb but not unexpected so not too disappointed.

I've been really good this week, but my pattern seems to be establishing itself as a dramatic drop in star week and the following week, then a gain mid-cycle. It's easy to see as I've been plotting my loss on a line graph (obsessed, moi? ;) )

Its strange how you can see a pattern forming.....mine is the same. I seem to lose quite a bit one week then very little the next...then back to losing alot.

It seems to take 2 weeks for my body to register any weight loss!!!:rotfl:
