My consultant said that SW don't recommend saving up your syns, but they know that some people do, and some people can get away with it while it doesn't suit others well.0 -

i find it suits me as i have something to look forward to at the end of the week, i dont feel deprived if i can have my takeaway, if i felt dperived of anything then i would fail. as you say tho it's not for everyone and it depends on they type of person that you are, if you snack in the evening like a lot of people do then having you syn allocation evey day would probably better for youThe only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about - Oscar Wilde:beer:

If im on a red day, Im allowed one 227g weighed jacket as a HEB but can I have two 227g weighed jackets using up both my HEB options?
Similarly if Im on a green day and was having (endless!) jacket chips, could I use both HEB options for steak (i don't have my food op book with me so not sure on the weight allowed?)
Can you syn potatoes????? so if I was on a red day, I could have as many jacket chips as I liked plus endless meat?????? (I really dont think so but like I said too embarrased to ask....)
Today's menu includes a toffee muller light yogurt, beans for lunch and steak for tea BUT for my HEB options, I have 28g honey nut shredded wheat, a hi fi bar, a weighed jacket and 3 slices of weight watchers brown bread - obviously thats far too many HEB so I could syn my hi fi bar - can I syn my 28g honey nut shredded wheat? and how many would it be.
If I dont have any HEB options left to have a potato with my steak, what can I have instead?????
Today's giggle for the day!!! Had a stir fry last night with some noodles. on draining the first lot of noodles - they ended up in the sink! second lot almost ended up the same way :rotfl:
Meal was quite tasty however! very simple and easy - used asda baby frozen veg plus some fresh mushrooms, spring onions and peppers with just soy sauce so totally freealthough four crispie cakes later kind of undid my good work ....
NB for lunch I had one somerfield meringue nest with strawberry lasting satisfaction yogurt and fresh strawberries. very yummy althought the meringue wasn't very chewy. Has anyone tried making their own meringues? one of our members at class mentioned using just egg whites and splenda and the merigngues turned out fine and I think were free as eggs free and splenda free.....
Another question. seem to have gone a bit mad on the muller light yogurts recently and have quite a few that should have been eaten by yesterday! how long do you think they keep for before they should really be ditched???
Finally I have been doing SW since August and to be honest I am bored with it. but weekends are the worst and I always fail especially on the alcohol. Does anyone have any tips for me i..e any new ideas or menus I can try to keep me motivated???0 -

Which book are you looking in and how old is it? There seems to be loads of confusion about this. Bit late now cos I ate it! x0 -
Morning all, put on 1 1/2lb but not unexpected so not too disappointed.
I've been really good this week, but my pattern seems to be establishing itself as a dramatic drop in star week and the following week, then a gain mid-cycle. It's easy to see as I've been plotting my loss on a line graph (obsessed, moi?)
So, I'm not going to fret about it; we went out for lunch yesterday for Mothering Sunday and I got compliments on my visible weight loss from people I haven't seen for a while, that's good enough for me!
I was SO good, the food where we went is absolutely delish, but there was no excuse for not optimising; I had veg soup to start, then a load of roast turkey and lean roast beef, carrots, cabbage and cauliflower, one yorkshire and some turkey gravy, and fresh fruit salad for dessert. I had tea instead of coffee, so no cream option there either, nor chocolate thins on the side to tempt me! I was so stuffed all afternoon that I didn't feel the need to eat anything else, so I had a LS yogurt and some cashews to nibble during the evening.
I've bought Marisa Peer's book after reading some of her stuff in a mag a couple of weeks ago; some of it's a bit extreme but it mostly makes perfect sense and I think it could fit in easily with Food Optimising, anyone else read it?0 -
Muller lights keep for months in the fridge - in the New Year we were eating ones which had gone out of date in late November as we hadn't got round to eating them on the run up to Xmas!0
