Dead quick tea on a green day. Better still, Hubby loves it too.
Boil pasta.
Fry (in frylight of course!) finely chopped onion and some mushrooms with a clove of garlic, salt and pepper.
Drain pasta and add to frying pan, turn off heat.
Stir in 1 tsp pesto (4 syns) and pop into two bowls.
Crumble over top 28g blue stilton HEb
Gorgeous...
You could use a different cheese, but it is just REALLY tasty with stilton. I always put mine straight in the microwave for 30 seconds so the cheese melts...mmmm0 -
Morning everyone
re these mugshots that Ive spotted you talking about - are these free both on a red and green day and does that include all flavours? I think I have found them - mug shot pasta snack / mug shot noodle snack as follows
Mug Shot Noodle Snack Chicken Flavour 54g
Mug Shot Noodle Snack Sweet & Sour 67g
Mug Shot Pasta Snack Tomato & Herb Sachet
Mug Shot Pasta Snack Creamy Cheese Sachet
Mug shot chicken chow mein flavour
Eric pasta is only free on a green day. It only includes the noodle ones inc Chow mein, and the tomato and herb. The creamy cheese is 2 syns on green and 13 syns on red.

Just being nosey really but what is everyone's favourite sw meal, and what do you cook the most. Ive not been doing sw for very long but love cooking the beef stew but my hubby is fed up with it now.
Ous is probably Quorn chilli and rice or Quorn curry and rice (which we're having tonight!)0 -
Hi there - I am new to this forum and started SW online 1 week ago.
To give you some background - have on and off dieted (mainly WW) for the last 18 months since having my son and managed to lose a couple of stone. My weight had stuck at 10stone 13 so a month ago I bought an exercise bike and have religeously exercised for 30 minutes a day (never did any exercise at all before) and followed similar eating pattern, thinking that the exercise would kick start my weight loss. No weight came off for 3 weeks so I thought I'd try SW to see if a change in approach would work.
I am absolutely gutted as I followed the programme really strictly (and kept up the exercise) and have stayed the same weight AGAIN!!!!! I am so fed up and have had a really bad day today and eaten loads of chocolate (and some cheese on toast  ) so actually feel quite sick now.
I only want to lose another 10 lbs to get to my ideal weight - so disappointed as I really thought this might give me the boost to do it
Sorry for long post but just wanted to moan0 -
:hello: Hi sarbut - please don't be too disheartened - sometimes it takes your body some time to get used to a new way of eating, and as you've dieted previously with WW it's got used to certain things.0

Thanks SkintCatt - I know you're right and the worst thing I can do is let it all slide so I will persevere and maybe try more original days and see if that helps as I seemed to do loads of green ones this week. I'll try and get on the forum to get some inspiration too as a quick glance at the posts you guys all seem to be doing really well on it.
Thanks for your reply x0 -

Also if cooking fruit makes it become synned does freezing things like yoghurt/bananas make them become synned?
Sorry I didn't answer you fully this morning, I hadn't realised the time and had to run so finished my sentence and logged off.
Which fruit did you want to stew that isn't mentioned?
Freezing doesn't affect the syn value of foods because when you thaw them you're only going to ear them as normal (if you see what I mean). Cooking fruit (as in stewed apple etc) is synned because it's too easy to eat too much without any of the benefits.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I wonder if you followed it as strictly as you think you did! Not meaning to question your honesty at all, but coming from WW it's quite hard to get into food optimising straight away. I have members in my group who've done this and I find they don't eat enough to boost their metabolism because you are 'conditioned' by the WW way to watch every point (even with fruit I believe).
You need to forget everything you did with WW and have utter faith that SW will work for you if followed 100% - this means eating lots of free foods along with your HEs and some syns.
Could you post up a food diary for a typical week so we can have a look and see where you may be inadvertently going wrong?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Redmel, didn't see you original post on this topic, but for you and everyone else who's interested, I can categorically say that these are NOT syn-free.
Using food for anything other than it's intended purpose is counted as 'misuse' and therefore the lasagne sheets made into mock Doritos, home made potato crisps, chickpea 'peanuts', chickpea cake, polenta cake etc, etc have to be synned. The only thing I can say about the people who have them and still lose weight is that there will come a day when they won't and that will be the reason why.
Hope this helps to sort out any misconceptions.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -
