Hi fellow sw friends. I've been lurking for a while. Fantastic ideas on here, thanks everyone.

When I was on sw diet before I loved a lemon cous cous cake, but can't find the recipe. Can anyone help. All I remember is it had lemon curd and was only a couple of syns for the whole cake on green.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Tone Deaf and all interested slimmers here is the recipe for cous cous cake!

CHERRY AND ALMOND COUS COUS CAKE

    4oz plain cous cous
    4 heaped tbls of sweetener
    2 capfulls of almond essence
    5 glace cherries
    1 egg
    boiling water

    method
    1. Add boiling water to the cous cous until slightly sloppy
    2. Add the sweetener, almond essence and chopped cherries to the cous cous
    3. Mix in the egg (the mixture will be sloppy)
$. Cook in the microwave for 5 mins or until firm

2 1/2 SINS FOR THE WHOLE CAKE ON GREEN:j

lemon curd or mincemeat could also be used instead of cherries and almond

    ENJOY !:T

I really need to get a grip on the weekends....I eat very healthily all week and use my exercise bike, do sit-ups and since last week, take our new doggy for long walks. But come the weekend it all goes wrong.

On saturday, I tend to eat crisps, and then have a drink in the evening sometimes with cheese and crackers....
On sunday, I have a lovely roast dinner with lots of meat roasties and yorkshires, followed by cups of tea and choccy/biccies...

I always rationalise it that I will have all week to lose whatever I have gained but this is probably not the best way to continue. I need a good talking to please, and some motivation!!!

    Mel

I think to stick at a diet (or life long change to eating) you need to have the occassional slip. Weekly may be overdoing it but if you are too strict with yourself you will be more likely to fail.

I try to think to myself, will that roast potato really satisfy me.... of course it will along with the other 4 but I make myself do a more strenuous workout or long walk and clean the car (you get the gist) to compensate. As I am not a fan of cleaning the car or anything else that seems like hard work I am shying away from naughty stuff.

Everyone can lose weight if they burn off what they consume.... so the more crisps, chocolate and yorkshire puds you have the more you should run up and down the stairs!!

I find that thought motivation enough to not eat them and to sit with my feet up stuffing my face with free food!!

I hope that helps you Mel...
