However, 160 is right, you should really be varying the foods you eat and drinking a mimimum of 2½ litres of water every day. Try to have plenty of fruit, vegetables and salads with your meals to provide interest and don't forget to have your healthy extras.
Toby's Mummy, do you actually make your own pasta from scratch (using flour and eggs) or do you mean that you buy fresh pasta? Only dried pasta is free and then only on a Green day (Skint Catt has given you the syns for fresh pasta), but 35gms (dry weight) of wholewheat pasta can be taken as a HEB on an Original day
no i make my own from scratch. i know you can cook it in oil, but i cook mine in plain water. is that allowed or is it still synned?0 -

Thanks SC - I just hope it tastes nice now!!!
Just to let you know -it was lovely.
I had a bit of a mare as I didn't read the passata packagaing and just bunged it all in (I only really needed half!). So after scooping a bit out I decided it would be fine!
I don't think I would put in the sweetcorn again (i wasn't keen on the texture), but I haven't decided what to substitue it with!
I'm a greedy whatsit, so it made 3 portions for me (recipe says for 4).
All in all - a great result :j0 -
does anybody know of any sausages that are low in syn value as I thought that Morrison's eat smart pork sausages might have been less than 5 syns on a red day.... I do like a sausage with my (non fat) fry up!!0

I bought the slimming world mag and was going to post some recipes upon here that way they can live forever on this board...
Firstly, are we allowed to or is it in breach of copyright???
Secondly, over on old style they had a whole list of sw recipes, it would be great if we could all add to this list as it would make it so much easier to look through....BUT i have no idea how we would add to the list, I think it is whoever maintains it has to add the recipes for us....anyone know?????
Maybe then a link could be added to the first page in this thread so everyone can access it easily.
I will try and get hold of the person who maintains that list and get back to you!!!

Right I'm back, above is the link to the recipe list. Now I just need to find out how we can all add our contributions.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
great idea redmel..
I go in to the boots thread often and across there they start a new thread regularly and the person who maintains it, crazyposhgal.. updates the first post with all the new offers/glitches etc.. Not sure if that is 'do-able' in here or whether anyone would want to keep a first post updated with info and links to the recipe thread etc??0 -
Hi all
Have decided to try the Slimming World diet as I've got 2 months before I need to put my bikini back on.
I'm not a big veggie person so I'm going to try and do mainly red days and take the hit with the extra cost of buying loads of meat
I do love fruit but I'm not sure if all fruit is 'free'
Can anybody help and let me know if there is any fruit which I should avoid for a red day based diet please?
Thanks0 -
creme fraiche is syned and very low fat fromage frais isn,t , when i stared s/w i got them mixed up , creme fraich is right next to cream & is just like cream , fromage frais is with yoghurt and is yoghurt based, both do the same thing in cooking , hope this helps0
