Hiya
I was just asking my consultant this week about indian meals/takeaway. To cut a long story short..have a green day so that you can have loads of boiled rice for free. If you have a chicken meal then you can use two healthy b's as chicken and deduct 12 syns in doing so. i.e chicken tikka masala is 26 but can be reduced to 14.
Also make it a flexible syn day and allow yourself that poppadum/naan bread.
Enjoy!0 -
Ooh, thanks fluff.
I love Peshwari Naan but at 25 syns alone it is time I find the healthy option!Piggypoints - 207+£10 * Quidco - £95 * Tesco - 1095 * Sainsbugs - 4237I SHALL be debt free!!!!!:D

First a note to miss phish, if you like spicy food go for spicier food when you go for the Indian - vegetable jalfrezi or something as chilli accelerates the metabolism so it will be less fatening than something like tikka masala or korma.
Anyway just wanted to say hello to everyone! :j have started doing the slimming world plan on my own with the magazine. There isn´t a group near me unfortunately but I am going to stick to do it anyway as I know people who it has worked for and it is healthy. If anyone knows any free things that would make good snacks please let me know as I am starving and have had my three meals today plus a few sins!24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

Hello suzukibabelynda that is a nice motivating message. It is great that you get such a positivity boost from your job! I have a question, how many syns do you think I would be allowed a day? I am 5'4" and 11 stone.
Thanks for the motivation : )24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

Welcome guys!
Hos - make up batches of free food such as soup, noodles or rice salad (green) or ham, prawns etc (red) and keep in the fridge. If you are hungry on 3 meals a day have tuck into these as often as you like!
I remember last time i did it cherry tomatoes were my snack of choice - i would eat loads of them! That was in the summer tho.
Suz - great to have you along - would you like to be our virtual consultant...?! Oh, any chance you know how many syns home made chicken stock has please?
Have a good day all!Piggypoints - 207+£10 * Quidco - £95 * Tesco - 1095 * Sainsbugs - 4237I SHALL be debt free!!!!!:D

Everyone is entitled up to 15 syns a dayI think if you start to maintain for a few weeks, you should cut them down a bit, maybe someone could let us know

Thanks for the tip on making batch food miss Phish, I will try that. It is also useful to know that I am allowed 15 sins a day. That will start tomorrow because I have already had half a tin of low fat custard, a Muller light and some very dark chocolate today lol. Oh well, I guess it takes practice and a wee bit of discipline! Hope everyone else is doing well today!24.06.14 12 st 12 lb (waist 45" at fattest part of belly)

Am I too late to join? I don't go to a SW class (have done in the past), but am sticking to the diet. I did start on my own last Monday 07.01.08.
When I did go to class, I found writing everything down in the Food Diary works best. I kept all my diaries so I could look back on them when I hit a gliche in weight loss.
Don't know if anyone is interested, but the Pasta Quiche is very filling and you can make additions to to. If anyone wants the recipe, I'll post on here in the next few days (Having to dash now)Sealed pot challenge - no 137 - 01.01.08 - 01.12.08 £54.33/£500.00

Hi NW, welcome aboard! Yes please to the pasta quiche - sounds... er...interesing!!! My mate was telling me about a free Red day 'recipe' where you mash up corned beef (yuk!) or tuna (better) with chopped onion and squish it hard down into a quiche dish then pour over the quiche mix, bake and keep it in the fridge as a quick n easy munchy zapper.
I had a fab time at the Indian last night - ended up having a veg curry, plain rice, shared a chick pea dish on the side (cant remember name but seriously yummy - actually will hunt a recipe for it i think) 1 Popadum & 1/4 peshwari naan. Grand total of about 20 syns i think which I'm quite pleased with.
Aah, just remembered..... the coffee afterwards.......thought it was milk....oops!:o Best add another 3 syns.....
Am about to have a huge 'fry' up - poached egg, bacon, grilled toms, mushrooms & a piece of toast.... I LOVE SW!!!!!
Have a great weekend all!Piggypoints - 207+£10 * Quidco - £95 * Tesco - 1095 * Sainsbugs - 4237I SHALL be debt free!!!!!:D
