Going to class for me keeps me focussed and the support is amazing.
SW has been a lifestyle change for me and once I remain at target for a couple of months, I will try it alone. Gyms do not interest me..although I walk a fair bit every week.
I wouldn't say SW is a quick fix, it is steady weight loss. Silly diets like soup and shake diets are quick fixes IMO.
I get the motivation I need from group members0 -

fluffynitIm joining sw tonight, I too have alot of baby weight (and non baby weight too !), i put on 4 stone in pregnancy, have lost 2 stone since may, but i was overweight to start with.
Ive done ww in my twenties and found it good, but i need an eating plan that fits into family life.
I intend to go to the classes as i need motivation, althought this time im losing weight for me, not because my dad keeps going on about my weight (he still does, but im ready to except responcibility for it now), i want to be a healthy mummy, and do all sorts with my son when hes older as well.
Its good to see so many sucess stories and others in the same boat as me too.
Thanks for reading

Lilys mum - that is poo, but PLEASE hang on in there xx
I went to my first class last night - the lass is fab - seems really upbeat but in a down to earth way.
Love the new style book - red & green at opposite ends & syns etc in the middles - much easier than the old style book.
I weighed in at what I expected, still not sure on what target to set - she did mention that you can set a clothes size as a target instead of an actual weight tho...
Going to try and alternate the red & green days (last time I just stuck to green really) and I have a vat of carrot, corriander & barley soup on the simmer at the mo (holler if you'd like the recipe) which will be for green lunches and shall make some plain veggie soup when that is whizzed for red lunches. Am going to then freeze portions so will have no excuses when in tired, hungry & late!
I have also relented and bought a microwave in the sales (I don't like them very much) for doing jackets etc etc as our oven is huge and takes forever to bake tatties!!
Good luck all and if anyone is still on the fence - GET OFF!! SW is offering a money back gauruntee (sp?) if you dont lose weight so you literally have NOTHING to lose!!!
xx

SW is fantastic! I lost 6 stones there a couple of years ago and it definitely works if you are motivated and stick to it. If I had a bad week and either put on weight or maintained, the following week I would eat tons of speed and super speed foods, or do a week on Success Express. It gave me the kick up the behind I needed.
I used to be a consultant for SW so if anyone needs and advice PM me

still can't see the value in saying a spud is 5 points and a kipper is 2 or a tomato is green and a mars bar is red. Is that something you can do for the rest of your life? do you want to ? and if you stop will your weight come back ? you have got to exercise as well as watch what you eat. Seems to me all they concentrate on is the food. whilst you lob in more calories than you burn you will not achieve anything. If it was just a case of dieting we would all be slim would we not ?0

SW do not just concentrate on the food..
Q: Do I have to exercise to lose weight successfully?
A: We encourage you to combine healthy eating with an active lifestyle. Being active can reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure as well as help protect against osteoporosis and diabetes. It can have positive effects on mood, self-esteem, stress and anxiety levels, and improve sleep, energy levels and general fitness. However, Food Optimising doesn’t rely on you sweating every evening at the gym or training for the marathon from day 1! Food Optimising properly without exercise will result in a weight loss – we guarantee it! Food Optimising with exercise will bring even greater results0 -
Food Optimising properly without exercise will result in a weight loss – we guarantee it! Food Optimising with exercise will bring even greater resultsso why are you going to a class if they are telling you to watch what you eat and exercise ? common sense really ,we all know that !!and they charge for the privellidge. do you want to be food optimising for the rest of your days, i don't. But i suppose if it works for you then it can only be a good thing, Stick at it and I hope you get the results you wanted.0

This is from the 100 green recipes book;
Carrot & Coriander Thick Soup
Serves 4, freezes well, and is FREE on green :A
8-10 carrots, chopped
1 large onion
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp ground coriander
85g/3oz yellow or orange split peas
85g/3oz pearl barley
2 pints stock made from vecon
salt & pepper
Bung it all in a saucepan & boil then simmer for 1 1/2 hours adding more water if needed. Whizz up in a blender.
I also whacked in a load of chopped fresh coriander at the end because I love it (and it was down to 30p a bag in Tesco yesterday) and I didn't use the split peas as it says on the bag that they need soaking overnight which i didn't realise. It smells yummy!
