Soggymoggy- I think you'd probably be better off saying a green day cos of your pasta (is that free?) and rice and sweet potatoes. Then you'd have to work out the chicken and wholemeal bread and cheese and museli to see which could go as HE and the ones that can't will be syns.

This is my second week this week and I only lost 1.5 lb last week although I think i really stuck to it, followed the green plan...

Im worried now that I was eating too much or doing something wrong..

I know they say rice, pasta and eggs are free but should i be not eating too much of them?

I got the asda veggie sausages tonight so hoping they are free or low syns like the quorn would be free as i heard asdas were nicer.

lab-dab there are no restrictions - you did nothing wrong. The secret of keeping weight off is losing it slowly in the first place. East as much pasta, rice and eggs as you want (on Green only of course!)

Thanks for reassuring me.. I always thought your first week was usually a bigger loss so i was a bit bothered when it wasnt BUT this diet is not one ive ever done before and seems much more a healthy eating plan than any other so im chuffed to have lost after all.. heres hoping next week is the same or better :)

I was pulling my hair out when i first done s/w in 03 , i went four weeks before i lost anything but in the forth week it kicked in or maybe i just got my head around the diet  , and i lost 2st, 4lb and got to target and until last year kept it off , now im 4 and a half lb off target , so you keep at it , your do it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
  • Yep, I think it must be green. I counted milk as HEA(1) and the Laughing Cow triangles as HEA(2), though I think I could have had something daft like five of them - who on earth can eat five cheese spread triangles at one sitting? I'd be sick!

The wholemeal (two slices from a 400g loaf - and I weighed them to make sure they were only 57g together) was one HEB, and having checked how much chicken I could have (113g/4oz), that would count as the second HEB, 4oz chicken is loads - I didn't weigh it out but I only had about a quarter of the curry portion I put on DH's plate, and a heaped tbsp of rice.

The muesli was definitely a syn, as was the toffee I've just pinched out of next-door's tin whilst babysitting :o
  • Went out for a meal and had chicken enchiladas, it was fine, until I realised there was loads of cheese in it. However, I only had salad and diet coke with it, so maybe it wasn't so bad.

Hi, just noticed this thread and thought I would join in and say hello!

This week I have decided to follow the Slimming World diet at home. I've previously got to target a couple of times, but have trouble keeping it off once I get there. I figure that if I am going to be successful at keeping the weight off forever, I have to do it myself. Ideally I would like to lose about 1 - 1.5 stone.

I noticed that someone mentioned the Danone Lasting Satisaction yogurt earlier in the thread - they are currently either half price or on BOGOF in Morrions. The only thing is they are quite moorish!
