Can anyone give me some useful red green lists.
http://www.slimmingworld.com/ this has a 7 day trial menu to give you ideas
As part of its food optimising system, Slimming World has designed two eating plans - Green Days and Original Days (often referred to as Red Days).
On Green Days you can pick from a huge number of free foods including pasta, rice, potatoes, fruit, veg, beans and pulses. These can be mixed and matched with 'healthy extras' such as lean meat or fish.
Original Days allow for a higher protein consumption and free foods include lean meat, fish and most fruit and vegetables. On top of this, other foods are given a 'syn' (synergy) rating and, depending on your goals, you are allowed a certain number of syns a day.
I use ivillage slimming world forum for recipes too, just google it. Supportive group.

Thanks Miss phish. Great to be here. I am sitting here with my sweet and sour out of the current magazine, very nice although it wasn't written very well, but all over the place I thought. And I am not quite sure the purpose of the egg white in it but it must be to make it stick I suppose. Anyway now I have done it once I can knock that up a lot easier next time as I won't have to keep rechecking the recipe. I made mine with pork though.
Sheilavw - I think as a general rule of thumb 2 slices of wholemeal counts as one HE b choice on both choices but it does vary with type of bread as some breads you only get one slice and some I think you get three.0 -

There may be a class for you this week?... my class is combined with 2 other classes and on a different day this week because of New Year.
If you put in your postcode on the Slimming World website, there may be a message telling you where/when the class will be held. Just a thought

I once bought granary bread and then found out that it was not a healthy extra and had to syn it :mad:0 -
I have checked on the website and it mentions nothing about the class not running.
I even looked at the individual consultants web site but again no mention of it.
I have found another one just a few miles away on Wednesday - I was wondering if I could go to that one to join and get the stuff then transfer to the Monday one from next week, I can't do Wednesdays because my eldest has brownies but they don't start until next week.
Would it be unfair of me to do it this way - I really don't want to wait another week.0 -
do you have a number for the leader give her a call and she might sell you the membership now and weight you .............. good luck all who are new to it .......0

Hi Everyone
I'm starting SW tomorrow evening. I used to go to Weight Watchers but got really bored of it. Plus the leader got really annoyed with me. Well I did put 1.5 stone on last year. Can't blame her. :embarasse
Had a shocking sad year in 2007. So I had my reasons, but I reckon it's time to ditch the Trinny and Susanna pants and the chocolate fountain.
I'm looking forward to losing some weight. I feel amazing when I'm slimmer. More confidence. Flattering clothing. Full of energy.
I need to lose the 1.5 stone and more. But I would be happy to just lose the 1.5 stone and keep it off.
I will report back once I've had my first weigh in tomorrow (if we arent snowed in):snow_laug

Hi everyone,
Day 1 on the Slimming World Plan.
I had my weigh in last night 13st 2.5lbs!!!!!! I need to lose about 3 stone but I set my target at 10st 7lbs as I think it is more realistic for maintenance. ( I am 5ft 3in by the way)
I am going to transfer to Monday classes though because Wednesday night is brownie night so I can't make it although the consultant at the class was lovely.
I have my meals planned now for the next 5 days so her we go................
Looking forward to having you all on board for help and support.

Well done for making the effort to join.
I'm still at the making excuses stage. Too much choc in house, too busy, too cold, too tired. Will keep reading and maybe it will give me inspiration. Good luck on your first day.0
