  • I am joining my local class tomorrow night.

I lost almost 4 stone with them a good few years ago and found it really easy so am looking forward to doing it again - this time I will really try harder to keep it all off - I got pregnant and put on 2 stone which I didn't lose and now my little one is 2 I have been putting on more and more weight all the time. I am now up to more than I was when I first joined years ago!!!

Lets hope we can all support eachother and get to where we want to be.

    Good luck

    hi everyone

i joined sw in november and have lost 12.5lbs so quite chuffed. Easiest diet in the world imho and i have had lots of pringles and chocs this christmas, just in moderation.

i am doing it purely for myself this time round, i always seem to be slimming down for some event/occasion and after it passes, i lose control...so this time it's all about me ;)

good luck everyone who decides to follow the sw route :)
  • Thinking about doing it to. Not sure i'm in the right frame of mind yet. Plus too many chocs in the house from christmas. Might do sw at home without joining a club. At least i would be saving money.
  • Good luck with that croctee!

My partner asked why i had to pay to go to a class when i knew what i had to do. If only it was that easy eh!!?

    PS HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Have a great night tonight all, although i will be at home in bed by 10 this year i reckon.. ruddy cold...

  • I am so pleased to have found this thread, have done SW before with great success and last year lost what I needed all on my own just following the plan as there was no class near to where we have moved. But a class has started up and in the last few months we have been up to our eyes in building work so there have been too many pizzas and chip runs and sadly we found a really good curry house near us. The weight has piled back on and a bit more besides and although I am heavier than I have ever been and feel like my skin is stretching I know I need a class to keep me motivated this time as there is still so much going on. So I hope we can keep this thread going and motivate each other through 2008! Also I had never thought of having runner beans instead of rice on a red day - that is so clever, I never want to use my syns for rice but a curry needs something, I am definitely going to try that.
I bought the new magazine today to try and get me into the mindset and there was a mention of a new book coming out so it might be worth going just for that. Not quite sure where my syns book is anyway.
Right I am off to do a meal plan for the next week, I can't join a class until next Monday but I don't want to wait until then, I am running out of things to wear and I WILL NOT buy a size up!! LOL

Hi Everyone. We as a family are starting sw diet next week, I have reserved book at library, and bought magazine. I was just a bit confused on the bread. There were menu suggestions in mag and bread appeared on both red and green, whereas I thought bread rice potatoes pasta were all just green. Can anyone give me some useful red green lists. I will start planning next weeks menus at the end of this week. Thanks

    Hi all,

    LM - bummer!
    Poodlehorse - Welcome!
Sheila - bread has to counted a healthy (B i think) or as syns whichever day you are on as it is a sure way to pile on the pounds. Rice, pasta, potatoes etc don't sem to stick to the bum as much as bread for some reason.

Partners kids have now gone home and I have given him til next monday to hoover up the last of the 'bad' foods!! He is in his element!!!

May 2008 be a great one for us all, and we all shed loads of lb's between us - oooh, maybe we could keep a running weightloss total??
