Morning all, It's a bit icy and windy here today but still no snow.
My list for today
Get dressed
Feed the animals
Put food out for the wild birds
Go to hairdresser's appointment
Do paid stuff
Catch up with my email list, I have a few things that I need to email people about.
Check the sheep for a local farmer
Do required uni work
Get fuel in the car
Check and water the plants
Dust the kids bedrooms
Hoover the kids bedroom
Speak to DH regarding decorating/decluttering the master bedroom
Look into new furniture for the master bedroom (wardrobe, bed and tv bracket)
Look into insurance for my cat.
Attend volunteer group meeting and meal
Think that is everything that I need to tackle today. Hope everyone has a good Friday.8 -
A quick note while I can get on t'Internet, just to say that I'm here, but I'm another one who's not done any flying, apart from S&S'ing the kitchen and bathroom and making my bed. I have pulled out another box of family history papers to sort through and am laughing at my black sheep's antics
(not really a laughing matter, if truth be told, but he keeps me on my toes, genealogically speaking).
Rosie has gone out with the dog walker. It's beautifully sunny but minus 5 degrees.
We were waiting for the Bee-Tee engineer to come between 10 and 12, but DH received a text saying he has a problem with his van so had to cancel. However, Customer Services have managed to find us another engineer who is supposed to be coming between 2 and 4. Of course, the service is back to normal - for now! No rhyme nor reason why.
I was going to go to Action Heart once the engineer had been, but that's unlikely to happen now. I shall have to go to MrAl, though, as we're almost out of bread and milk.
Have a good weekend if I don't see you again before then xxx6 -
Hello all.
Another paid stuff day here. I have also done most dailies except putting recycling out, put dry washing away, dusted office/ spare bedroom, hoovered through and taken the hoover apart and cleaned it. I now can't hoover for a couple of days while it dries out properly!
just having lunch then I'll walk Poppet which I couldn't do earlier as I was waiting for a parcel delivery.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Afternoon everyone. This morning after getting up and doing eye drops I put a load of washing on. When it had finished I put on another load and then we went to the petrol station to fill up and then to the bank as A wanted to do something there. We then went to the shops at the end of the road as he wanted to use all three of his cards. He's worried that if he doesn't use them now and again they will stop working; he also wanted to go for a coffee. He decided to try and walk with the 3 wheeled walker rather than get in the wheelchair but really struggled so we gave up on the idea of going for a coffee as the 50 yards he would have had to walk was too much.Instead we went into the bookshop for one of the cards that they said they were going to order more of. When we got there we were told that they hadn't ordered any more as they were too 'wintry' given that spring was around the corner (allegedly) and they already had quite a lot of winter cards still to sell. I can get them online but it was a bit annoying as I've wasted 10 days expecting them to get them in the bookshop. We bought one other card so that A could use one of his bank cards and then went to an Italian deli around the corner and bought a couple of things in there so he could use another. After that we went home.Once home I quickly took out the washing, which had finished whilst were out, and put on another load. I then made lunch and washed up and have now started on the TDing. Ocado came and I put the things away. Once this load of drying has finished I'm going to put another load on and then go for a walk and buy some clemetines, which I forgot to get whilst we were out and also buy some wrapping paper. I normally have lots but due to mismanagement on my part I only have Christmas paper left it seems.8

Hallooooo xx
I'm home. I survived my first week back at the paid stuff: no bodies to hide, no blood on the carpet, I've started a trend saying 'my bored is bored' and I've agreed to go out for a birthday tea on 1st Feb. to celebrate Am's 50th birthday ..... even though I'm only paid to be nice until half past four 🤣
Yabba dabba doooooooooooo. Weekend. Woot. Woot. I've changed into my scruffs and I'm having a coffee with 2 biscuits. (Portion control).
As well as feeding the birds and putting out the recycling this morning, I put the kitchen bin contents in the dustbin, and I've just put a new binbag in the bin. Minuscule, but one less job for tomorrow.
Enjoy your evening

So here is a question….does having a Friday Evening Home From Work Made It Through glass of wine count as flying 🤔 If it does, then that is my total sum of flying for today. If not, then I will look on it as taking decluttering to an art form of the next level.
ETA - I might write a much needed flying list for the weekend later on. That might make the thread censors happier 🤞9 -
End of week checkin from me. I got the oven cleaned on Wednesday which took most of the day. The soaking overnight with a dishwasher tablet didn't work, maybe because I put it into water from the hot tap rather than boiling. I got rid of the water and soaked the racks for a few hours in boiling water with washing powder which I've used before, this helped loosen the grease and the rest of it came off with much use of brillo pads and elbow grease. I've tried using the kits where you put them in a bag with thick cleaner, but I find they always spike through the bag and it leaks.I've found the spare filters for the vacuum cleaner so will swap those over and have a good go through on Monday. Bed stripped today, hung them on the line for most of the day, a bit damp still so hanging up to finish off.Job identified for next week is cleaning out the fridge.Progress has been made this week, hopefully more next week.Make £2025 in 2025

Pigpen we could never evict you, you are essential to our family. Even the thought of it makes me go a bit funny.
Paid stuff done, 1 mile walk with DH done, 30 minutes HIT workout done, a visit to the supermarket accomplished and we are both fed. Oh and I have put a load of washing on and made the bed. Various bits of gibble have been dumped on DS2s bed and I have shut the door. I will sort that tomorrow.
DH had a useful review with the physio which is a first. He now needs to put some of her suggestions into practice, hence the walk.
Feet up now, fire lit, crisps ready to be opened.9 -
