    Redo - I didn't realise that avocados could be frozen. I will try freezing some as I had a dozen in a veg box this week. Lidl must have over ordered!

  • @kayannie I only know because Greenbee used to buy the frozen stuff, M&S sell it frozen in chunks.

    I think I used to get them at Tesco (I can't actually remember!). They're fine for guacamole or making chocolate mousse and stuff like that.

    Thank you GP, I'll prepare a few to freeze. I've nothing to lose, as I won't be able to eat my way through them all before they're too ripe.

    @kayannie - in the past, I've made guacamole with a surplus of avocados and then frozen in dip size containers.  If you push the stone into each container, it keeps the bright green colour of the avocado even when frozen and defrosted.  We used to eat a lot of tacos and fajitas at one point & homemade guac is soooooooo much better!
    Thank you - I've just put them on the kitchen worktop so that I remember to deal with them in the morning.
