Thank you - I am trying to make sure everything is 'tidy' for the boys in case anything happens to me, so the solicitor advised me to do the (free) change form now rather than when I move in a few years. I asked about it when I had the chance because EH had mentioned it before.
Three cauliflowers in the fridge (two from the box) so I had another go at air fried cauliflower, this time with an egg/paprika/turmeric/grated parmesan coating from the slimming world app. Nice enough but most of the cheese is lost which is a waste. Sprinkling some on the hot cooked cauli worked much better. I also did a greek yoghurt and mint sauce dip, and a little tomato/spring onion salsa so a nice mixed bowl.

Do you deliver? I'm having salad as the alternative is soup (again). I seem to have a fridge full of soup and not much else. So smoked mackerel salad it is. By the time I've finished work, taken Stinky out, fed the menagerie, taken Stinky out again, I'm almost too tired to bother. I think I need to start prepping the day's meals in the morning.6

Cauliflower is nice as a dough for making pizza bases. All the better to hold the cheese4

I love cauliflower mash, make just as you would as with potatoes, sprinkle of cheese and a few herbs - delicious 😋I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Positive money news at least that Pension 4 delay will at least partake in the recent rally.
The cauli sounds great ... I dont have an air fryer but maybe I can halogen oven something similar..DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thank you for the ideas. Tonight we had chicken and cauliflower biryani (with peas and floppy spring onions) which was very filling. Made too much so there is a portion in the fridge. My stomach has reminded me that regular consumption of cauliflower may be a challenge. The better half of two avocados was eaten - the rest are fairly solid so I suspect I need to take a few out of the fridge at a time to ripen, with the ripe bananas. Possibly in a paper bag together.
Finally did something about buying a couple of presents, mostly because there was some decent cashback available. Has tracked, hope it actually pays out but it was the cheapest place anyway. Ph1lips, 17% TCB and a 5% off code if it any use to anyone. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

You know when you think you haven't done a huge amount but:
1. Food shopping (again) mostly to get out of house, got lucky with 75% off on F&V in MrT. Bought some fat jeans in the sales, must try them on and if they don't fit put them and the receipt with my shopping bags or I will forget
2. Put away shopping, and newly arrived cat fud mountain
3. Fed birds, and tidied the food storage
4. took doglet out to local woods for a walk, now £2 to park for a 30 minute circuit and very busy due to supposedly excellent cafe/bakery so will not go again. Need to find places I feel safe on my own. I am a member of local wildlife trust which gives me access to members only reserves but all isolated and I get lost. Lots of pretty dappled light through the trees and we both enjoyed it
5. made suitably interested noises for the house works progress report
6. supervised the removal of the skip, which unfortunately did significant damage to a tree by the drive. He did say it was likely due to the position of the scaffolding etc and I gave them permission to risk it. poor tree
7. cobbled together food for everyone without actually making a huge effort or having a takeaway
8. bought some more presents online
9. attempted to herd sheep (co-ordinate three diaries and associated holiday cottage bookings for a group event) - noted that for one the cost of going to cottages via MrT using vouchers was over 25% more expensive than booking direct on cottages website. waiting to hear on cottage 3 before I can book
10. the usual dailies of DW, swish and swipes, vague tidy.
So actually busier than I thought and just hit 10k steps.

Also remembered that Mr Redo had premium membership of two map based apps - managed to cancel renewals for both but can install on my phone and use the balance of his membership for a while yet. What I really need is one that does 'you are here' 'the car is here', 'no, not that way idiot'. I have no sense of direction whatsoever, even for places I have been to many times. My favourite walk is a 4.5k circular around a local reservoir as even I can't get lost.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
