Alltrails is a good app/site. You can search for circular routes and it has navigation.
My local council also publishes trail routes, might be worth a look if yours has anything similar.3 -
Does your phone not tell you where you left your car? It might not give exact directions off road, but it should be able to at least give you a clue as to whether you are heading vaguely in the right direction.3

@redofromstart i empathise. I need sat nav to get out of a car park (not joking!) People with a good bump of direction don't know how lucky they are. DD used to navigate for me from the age of two and a half. Love Humdinger xx5

A really productive day! Sorry about the tree, though. I know they grow to fill any gaps but it's still not nice very sad to have it damaged.
Perhaps you should treat yourself to a very, very long ball of string to attach to the car and trail behind you when walking... better still, find a friend or two with dogs who want to go exploring (and have a great sense of direction), but I'm not sure how to go about doing that.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. I too have no bump of direction & if I travel as a passenger I can never find it again. Although I'm not too bad once I've driver the route a few times. My father did give me an idea many years ago, he was really referring to driving through London. He said to work out where you need to keep the sun, which of course doesn't work at night!

And then there's the Sat nav in your phone - so long as you can get a signal.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Just made your Chorizo and squash soup Re-do, it is delicious, but sadly I accidentally (not really) made it too spicy for the rest of the family, so I will have to eat it all, what a shame.5
