Logically, if you're selling, the indoor workshop needs to go anyway, and an extra bedroom would be good - your office will be enough to show that it can be done, and if a second office is needed they have plenty of choice of other options!
At least clearing Mr Redo's craft room means you'll have storage available for when you need to clear other rooms - the weird cupboard/storage room in my bedroom has proven invaluable when I've been emptying other rooms.4 -
I have been busy sorting stuff ahead of the works starting tomorrow, with a little planting (and much watering) for light relief. The garden hasn't had this much attention in years and is starting to look much better for it but it does need daily action as everything is shooting up with this weather, including the weeds.
I seem to be busy all of the time without making a huge amount of progress but I am sure it will all fall into place as the dots join up.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Hope the works go well. I'm amazed at how high my patio weeds are again after only a week!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4

Glad you are able to tackle all this at your own pace - the garden must be looking lovelyDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

You are doing so well keeping up with your garden.
I had someone mowing for me but he was unreliable and kind of sleazy so I got rid.5 -
Busy few days between the bathroom works, and a weekend visit to the lake district (and B00ths for cheese obviously) as my lovely sibling gifted me the booking as they had had to cancel. I went to see another formal garden (my third use of my RHS membership for free entry) so not a huge amount spent other than petrol and cheese. Some lovely old trees which treehugger Mr Redo would have liked it very much so I patted them for him, and some more plants to add to my 'wants' list. I particularly liked the use of mixed poppies which could be cheaply reproduced here.
The bathroom is progressing well and I should have the house to myself again by Friday, at least until I sort out a carpenter to do the next bits in there. Like all these things the costs have gone up a little because you don't allow for the extras like a heated towel rail, a storage cabinet above the sink and any accidental extra purchases in the orange diy store when you are sent to get flooring. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Aw bless you giving the trees a friendly pat for Mr Redo. I do similar for my Dad. Glad you had a good trip, and cheese is an essential spend 😁
Bathroom progress sounds excellent, I am most impressed8 -
As always I am impressed by how you are getting on with life. Am sure Mr Redo was with you in spirit to check on the trees.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!9 -

The good news is that I have a plastered functioning en suite complete with flooring and the tiling. The plaster needs to cure for another week before it can be painted, and I'll need to sort a chippy to do some boxing in and to build a cupboard at the end of the bath. It's only taken 14 years to get this far, so I don't want to rush the last steps obviously.
It worked out more than expected (as always) but not as much as my guesstimate. I poked the dragon off the hoard and used some of the savings for their intended purpose. Hates doing it, my precious, but surely a shiny new bathroom just for me is nicer than polishing a pile of gold?
Quite an emotional process, but I hope a motivating one to get other things done. I need to book a skip which always helps with some short term focus. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese
