In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
Something especially heartbreaking about glasses isn't there.
Well done you. I know I keep saying it but you're doing so well. All hard stuff but needs to be done and I am in much admiration and sending lots of sympathy and supportive vibes x

That must be a very difficult job for you to tackle. Well done for making a start. You’re doing so well under the circumstances 🙂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)7

Well done for starting - sending you a virtual hug.15 minutes sprints sound very sensible on such a taskDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thank you all. I truly appreciate the cheerleaders on here, my darling offspring don't even 'see' the mess. They do now every so often do 'has something changed in here?' which amuses me.
Anyway, that brings me on to a confession. Yesterday I went to a wool warehouse outlet sale. It was an aladdin's cave of lovely wool in all shapes and sizes. The 'good' materials came in at the price of acrylic so I now have a rather large stash of merino/alpaca/mohair/silk/linen in my favourite colours. It was generally in kilo packs so enough of everything to make a decent sized project. My fritter fund took the hit, and it is certainly a years worth of entertainment but it is also a large pile of materials to store, which will need to go in, I don't know, the freshly cleared Craft Room of Doom. I know, stop laughing.
If I ever mention going to a wool sale again please remind me of this incident.
If I am missing it is because I am admiring my treasure trove and deciding what to do next because it is all very lovely. What I actually need to be doing is some weeding before the rain starts again (huge hailstones last night!) and doing some more clearing.

If the wool purchase makes you happy just looking at it then it’s serving a purpose. Good to read about something that’s lifted your spirits 🙂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
